2nd round pick

If we take QW at No. 2 and by some miracle one of the top five edge guys are available, maybe we take him.

To me, the O line is my biggest concern. We need to upgrade our starting Center and Guards, forget that we have no depth either. I was really hoping we would have signed someone in free agency, but the pickings are slim (Saffold is still available). EDIT: Saffold signed with the Titans.

Bradbury or Risner would be ideal at #36, but I doubt they will be available. So, barring a trade up, FS or WR will be the best option. So Adderley or any combo of AJ Brown, Deebo, or Ridley. Then go guard with our 3rd round.

49ers have alot of options at this pick. Cb, Wr but if they get a guy whom can play guard and has enough talent to move to RT when Staley retires they should do it.

We NEED an OG/C with our 2nd IMO.

An upgrade at OG/C is a bigger need than WR. We can still get a good WR in the 3rd or 4th than can produce in our offense just the same as anyone we can get in the 2nd.

I think if Nasir is there he is the pick.

If Samuel is there then he is the pick.

It's crazy how much better off we are than this time 2 years ago. Still, a lot more to go. FS, WR, OT & CB are all very legit options.

I also wouldn't be upset if there was a LB we thought could become great / elite on the board and we picked him up. K'wan's great but you have to have a backup plan for guys coming off major injuries.. and Malcolm Smith has barely played over the last 2 years as well. Still, that's further down on the needs list. It'd have to be the right player to go that route.

if we stay at 2 and get another EDGE, I think WR is likely. However, if a good FS/CB or even OL are there, we could go there instead.

Most of us fans overrate the value of having an elite wide receiver. It's much more important to have a strong O line and a good QB. I posted this before but go back and look at the last 15 SB winners. None of them had an elite receiver. Good receivers yes but not elite. Calvin Johnson, A. J. Green, Randy Moss, Julio Jones, Beckham and Brown all have ZERO rings. NE has never won a title because of elite receivers. Great QB and an O line that keeps him upright have been their keys. I say we look for a DB or O lineman.

It is a more glaring hole than WR right now.
I like the idea hypothesized that we might run 1 WR, 1 TE, and 3 backs (Coleman, Jet, and Juice). Any of those backs could go out wide or in the slot on any given play, run out of the backfield, or create some crazy misdirection. I think we use our 3rd round pick on a WR if one of our 2nd round targets fall.

I think we need to keep eye on guards tackles. There may some really good ones available at 36.

Since we can't fix it all this offseason may be wise to upgrade the o-line or have a solid guy to develop behind Staley this year.

Don't need elite, but you need a lot better than what we are getting right now.

Ranked dead last in red zone efficiency in 2018. Part of that is running a zone scheme with lighter offensive linemen that can't punch it into the end zone when you're inside the 5. The other part of it is having small receivers that can't beat press coverage.
