I like Gary. Not as much as wu. Hope he has a great career. Just not with us. Will he be a good player? Maybe. I'm not mad dog. I don't put in the time. If we take him in the 2nd or 3rd,fine. No way in hell is he a top 5 guy.

I'm sure some team will jump on him in the first. As long as it's not an nfc west team, I wish him the best. If Seattle picks him, I hope he fails miserably. Lol

As a Michigan fan as well I was very disappointed in Gary. Year after year expecting him to show his potential. Now I just accept he was an overrated high school player who's a generational athlete but a average football player.

He played injured. 2018 season was not his fault. I was too but we are human not robots. What don't people understand that the 2018 season he played injured and missed 4-5 games? Without the injury. Yes he is a top 5 pick.

it has nothing to do with playing through injuries and everything to do with him having a labral tear. Teams aren't gonna draft players higher that are injured and might require surgery.

it's football dude, hell you've posted in the Bosa thread about him being injured and we've discussed everything over and over and over about him as well.

That's two major surgeries Bosa has had. Rashan Gary never had surgery and shoulder injury wasn't new news to me?

They didn't go into detail like today but they said he got injured before week 1 last year. I've said it dozens of times? It's throughout the thread well documented.

I said he played injured. Some said I was making excuses for him..... lol... Now can we all agree he played injured last year?

His sophomore year.. He was top 10 in hurries. He is only 21 years old. He is a true junior now... One of the youngest in this defensive line class..

Why do you think I told you guys to grade his sophomore year. He played injured his junior year. I told you guys nothing but the truth..

Can we all agree now that he played injured in his 2018 junior year, 2 days before the draft and I wasn't making an excuse for him, like some stated I have been???

Can we all agree now??? Can't cry production and ignore he played hurt... Doesn't work that way. That's narrative pushing. It was never an excuse. It was the truth.. Trade down and get more draft picks.

Win,Win for the niners who only have 6 picks in a draft loaded with defensive players. Trade down get draft picks then have the capital to trade back up or stay put with the extra picks.

I think most of us have already agreed on him being a great athlete and average football player. Most of us agree that we would not draft him in the first round.

So you are saying he didn't play injured in his senior year? That's what you are saying because that was my question?

Are you giving him a 2nd round grade because of the injury or the production his junior year yet refusing to accept he was injured or played injured and missed 4-5 games?

9 wonderlic. Not that it matters I'm just wondering if taking on double and triple teams for Chase, Bush impacted his score there.

You posted the 9 wonderlic score? He is getting attacked for it. Frank Gore had a 6. I'm just adding context like you are... It's an aptitude test.

Question... So you think the shoulder injury was an excuse last year for the lack of production in his 2018 season???

Bosa had a partial ACL tear and never missed any football because of it. There was no soft tissue injuries because of it and it was almost 4 yrs ago...we can move on there.

this is what david Chao who was a NFL team doctor of 17 yrs said about Bosa...

Nick Bosa (edge rusher, Ohio State) had a groin injury and subsequent core muscle surgery (a variant of sports hernia/athletic pubalgia). He should be selected near the very top of the draft and there should be very little medical concern, if any. His September surgery gives him plenty of time to be 100 percent already.

Additionally, when surgery is done, the other side is also fixed even if it didn't have any symptoms. Due to the high chance of recurrence on the other side, the procedure helps ensure the team spending a pick at the top of the draft should not run into this issue again.

Again one guy is 100% the other is dealing with a shoulder issue and might require surgery, he will drop because of it just the nature of the game. We know you said he played injured, thing is teams don't draft players higher that are CURRENTLY injured. You can claim his injury played a part in his unsuccessful season this past yr (which might be true to a pt) BUT he was completely fine in 2017 and wasn't some monster either. He's a pure upside prospect who's now dealing with a bigger injury then some (even you) thought.

Health matters. It just broke today but he's still got that labral tear and it may cost him a chunk of his rookie season.
Fact. Bosa has had two major surgeries... Cherry picking.. Wear and Tear dude. Two major surgeries is a valid concern.

Fact. Rashan Gary had a torn labrum in his 2018 season. Never had surgery.

Fact. Rashan Gary sophomore season was top 10 in hurries and is one of the youngest in his class playing multiple positions.
