And what credible draft guru is predicting Gary to be a top 5 pick? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just haven't seen that lately.

Without even searching that hard.

Mel Kiper has him a 9 overall..

Why wouldn't I when you see most of my threads are defensive threads... Do the math... Why wouldn't I want an Edge Rusher?!?!?! When the niners need one?!?! Desperately

Oh but you said top 5 correct?

While Bosa is projected to go where exactly? And still no credit is given. So you're telling me the fact that Gary goes to Michigan means absolutely nothing? lol

Yes I have plenty of articles stating top 5 over the summer.. He is a junior with speeds faster than a rb.. Definitely a top 5 or ten pick depending on who you talk to.

Still don't believe it yet? Still think I'm just hyping him up?? For bias reasons? Lol

Again I said credible.

Umm well yah. Tell me this, do you have him rated over Ed Oliver?

"Wu's bias" convinced the nfl or or or Wu did his homework?? Notice Michigan has the #1 defense in the nation? Playing a top 10 team in week 1.. Battle tested.. Held ND to 3 points in the second half in an away game.. Michigan gas the toughest schedule in the nation, 5 top 20 teams on the schedule this year.

Preseason projections.

I remember when Aaron Rodgers was suppose to go #1 overall or when Tarvarus McFadden was projected to go in the 1st round.

Still didn't answer my second part.

For the niners? I like Gary because he can play inside or outside.. He is 280 with speeds faster than a running back yet powerful enough to go inside..

Flexibility. He may go #1 for different reasons. Rashan Gary might go #1. Don't sleep.

I want Rashan Gary on the niners because he can play inside or out. He can be 290 and still be fast, He can drop to 275lbs-280lbs and still be effective or powerful enough. That's the freak athlete he is.

Rashan gets all the attention.

Ed Oliver may very well go #1 for a defense that wants him in a 3-4 defense. Do I think? I like Gary for the same reasons I just explained.

He can be effective on the inside or outside. He is just as powerful at 280-275 with more speed... Sick speed.. Faster than running backs speed...

287-Pound Michigan Sophomore Rashan Gary Ran a 4.57 40-Yard Dash

This is what separates Gary from the rest. The combination... I want that speed athletic and power here...

Lets just be real. In the past 6 to 7 pages, by my quick count, there have been 105 posts, and 56 of them were by you, or over 50%. Of those posts you used the word bias 26 times. In contrast, you were called biased, either directly or implied, 3 times. 2 of those times were only in direct response to you asking the member if they thought you were biased. You accused other posters or the media, who were high on Gary but not as a top 5-10 pick, of being uneducated, biased, ignorant, or just plain not paying attention 9 times.

I hate to come off as directing a post at the user and not the post, but if you are going to respond so defensively to every post, you need to first utilize a certain level of reading comprehension. I never once accused you of being biased, and me complaining about you always playing the victim, is not in fact calling you biased. As a matter of fact, a mod has already asked you to stop playing the victim.

Anyway, back to Gary. You want an ER, and I agree that it is the position we need most. However, your very next post to justify drafting Gary to be our ER had the analyst considering Gary at a 4-3 DT. 3 and 5 technique players are not what we need on this team, imo.

"But but but....

Please, instead of using multiple threads to hold conversations with yourself about how unbiased you are, provide some objective analysis as to why we should tank for Gary, assuming he would need to be ranked for in the first place."

This is your first post at me...

Really dude? You talk about snarky, rude?? You conveniently ended your post. Ifyou fail to reflect on what you wrote or how you wrote.. Then you have to work on that...

I started this thread because our defense sucked a long time ago... I was the one called bias on many occasions in all the threads... Yet Michigan has the #1 defense and pass defense.. What are you talking about?????...

Well, this is going no where. Anyway, to answer the person who sparked this entire thing, no, I highly doubt Gary is the player we are tanking for. The good news is that baalke is no longer in charge of the personelle, so I also doubt that we tank for a soft injured scrub.

You say "tanking" like this team has a choice... Lol

That's fine and when Rashan Gary tears it up in the nfl next year. I'm sure some will find more excuses around here on why he wasn't drafted by the niners...

You cannot teach 290 4.5 speed.. Remember that in a year from now.

You cannot assume 290 4.5 speed either. We should wait for the combine for measurables, and judge the player off of his tape. He has not displayed the ability to get around the edge consistently using flexibility, nuance, and technique

I'll give you that but he is only a junior, he will get it all. If you notice last week. He was out, Chase Winovich numbers plummeted.

He literally runs with Michigan's defensive backs. Those numbers are not inflated. I can bet on that. Dude is a workaholic...

All the attention is on Rashan Gary on games.

"Coach Jim Harbaugh didn't mince words earlier this offseason: Gary's the best player on Michigan's football team. There's no sense acting otherwise.

"He's the hardest worker on our team," Harbaugh said. "He's the best player on our team."

Gary finished his sophomore season with 66 tackles (12 for a loss) and six sacks. For a strong-side defensive end, those are outstanding numbers. He faced extra tight ends, double teams, chips and all the rest. He created opportunities for others, Chase Winovich included, and still managed to make an impact.

Gary does fall into the Jabrill Peppers zone of never being able to do enough to appease the unrealistic expectations of some, but he's come awfully close."

Whether people realize it or not. He is a major factor in that #1 Defense and #1 Pass Defense in the nation..... It's not coincidental..

Are you kidding with this? Why would the Niners pick another "power" DE when we know the ones we have picked in the last few years (Armstead and Thomas), haven't worked out.? Gary shouldn't even be a consideration for the Niners. Niners need speed off the edge first and foremost. End of story.
