Yup this was a good thing for us. Assuming both teams win the rest of their games heading into week 17. Rams will have to try and win to clinch home field.

Unless the Saints lose again and with 2 games vs Carolina and 1 vs Pburgh it's a possibility. Rams face Chicago if they lose that game it's in the bank they'll have to play.

If you really stop and think about it. Losing Jimmy for the season might have been a blessing in disguise. This roster still lacks talents and hopefully landing the #1 and #33 pick will land us some key talent to really help this team when Jimmy is back next season. How many other teams picking #1 overall go into a draft with their FQB already in place? I think this team will be in playoff contention as soon as next year with a healthy Jimmy. Now we just need some real talent to make this ship take off.
If we lose out and the Cards lose out, it really could be tight on SOS, with Alex Smith on IR for the Redskins. Basically, the only determining factors for SOS b/w the 49ers and Cards are the Bucs and Giants for us, vs the Falcons and Redskins for AZ. Currently, the Falcons and Bucs are tied (4-7), but the Skins are ahead of the Giants (6-5 vs 3-8). If the Falcons beat the Bucs and the Skins beat the Giants, it's a wrap.

So Falcon and Skins fans for the next few weeks?

So if the falcons beat the bucs and the Giants beat the skins who would have the first pick?

We currently have first pick, so to answer your question. We would still have first pick.

Correct, as that result by itself would be a wash. We should stay in the driver seat IF the Skins don't fall off (they will) while the Giants go on a win streak (they probably won't).
Except, we'll beat the Rams week 17.
I want it to remain #Blow4Bosa not #Blewit4Bosa

Just some helpful information I've noticed from tankathon.com - Niners current SOS is .511 and cards are at .528, each opponent game is worth .003 and obviously that depends if it's a win or loss. Your SOS goes up by .003 if opponents you've played win and down by .003 if they lose. Hope that makes sense.
I dont think its a strech to say Bosa could save the 49ers, looks like the next Charles Haley.

After the Saints loss last night the Rams will probably still be battling for the best record in the NFC so I doubt we will beat them.

Giants play bears without Trubisky. They could win that game possibly.

Bears haven't been winning because of Trubisky.

Eli vs that pass rush = not good odds for Giants.

I just need Falcons to lose one game versus Cards.
