Free speech doesn't mean consequence free speech. No one is putting trumpers in jail for supporting him, white nationalists/Nazis are free to say what they want without being put in jail.
Conversely, companies have the right to disassociate with people who will hurt their business. When you support trump you are alienating the majority of the country.
Also find it funny you would look down on a progressive (progress!) agenda. But that's how it is. Trumpers are the true victims here. Poor snowflakes have been wronged by the bully libs :(

We are the San Francisco 49ers, not some scumbag southern right-wing dictatorship Dallas Cowboys run by some cockroach called Jerry Jones.
But, just going back to Kap for a moment, even if we had Conservatives in our locker room at the time, I had never heard of any guy calling Kap out back then. I think those Conservative players knew full well what the majority of the team believed in. And that is precisely why we have such a tight locker room.

Dude, take this stuff to the politics thread, multiple mods have asked repeatedly today.

And then we told Kap to get the f out of here because he sucks at qb. End of the day the only thing that matters is winning. If someone's voting record matters to you have fun watching Brady and Bill win it all again.

When's the last time anyone saw a Nazi? The majority of the country isn't being alienated either for supporting Trump. Stop being dramatic.
I don't care what Bosa thinks about at night. I just want our guy (Bosa or QW) to harass QBs and make them tremble with fear and anxiety... just like all those snowflakes after the election.

Winning matters, but not to the cost of everything. One has many reasons on why he or she supports any given team.

It's not illegal, it's not going to draw suspensions from the league, have you ever heard of a player complaining about someone else's politics? It's a non issue on every front.

Rightclearly
I wish these kids today would realize social media is the devil and you never talk politics or religion aside close friends and family lol even that's a risk these days.
Whose trying to silence you? What do you want to say that you can't say already? Typical white anxiety.
Yeah he misunderstood me lol. I simply remember a world before the internet. Bosa has every right to say whatever he wants. But a smart person knows the two topics mentioned earlier are a big no go at work.
In his case he's a soon to be very public sports figure. So he has no place to hide and can't comment online like we can. You can say he should stand by his tweets, but he's making a wise decision for his career and person. If you were about to be drafted and making millions you'd delete those tweets too lol
Also has anyone on the Internet ever changed your political or religious opinion? Nope! And that's my main point.

- NFL Pick 'em
I think the dude is a total dick. But he's also a dominant pass rusher who has shown he has all the potential to translate that to the NFL.
Sure, there's freedom of speech and he has every right to tweet whatever b******t he wants but I respect him more now that he realizes when you're in the spotlight that everything you say or do is magnified and can turn people against you. I think it shows he cares more about football than politics, I like that.

In any case, the Alex Smith example you cited was perfect because the 49ers is naturally a more left-wing and liberal team having originated from San Francisco. As for his time at KC, may be the team is not as right-wing as we all thought. But, one thing for sure, if you were a kneeler, I doubt you would have an easy time at the Dallas Cowboys.
But, to answer your question again, yes this political stuff has gone over the edge, but sorry to say this is where we are at. At the end of the day, you have to stand for something.
For me, personally, I choose to stand with Kap and Bosa makes me uncomfortable with his stance. But, in any case, if you take away politics, I never thought he was worth the 2 pick from a talent standpoint. In my opinion, he would be overdrafted at 2. If we don't trade down and must pick someone at 2, then to me Q is the only guy qualified for that pick. Bosa to me is a high floor low ceiling guy. He would be ready to contribute from the start, but I don't expect him to be an exceptional player. I have always said, he ain't no Von Miller.
How about you leave it at that and stop trying to steer the conversation back to something that can shut this thread down again?
And I'm pretty sure nobody said he's Von Miller...

Didn't Kap opt out of his contract with us? Jed is the one owner who can't be colluding lol
