I could see the team favoring Allen because of his versatility. He can rush both from the SAM in base as well as the traditional DE position in obvious passing situations. It would be nice if he displayed better use of his hands at this point in his career, though. Drafting Williams means that the team probably intends to trim the roster of someone like Armstead or Blair to make room along the D-line, preferably via trade. Lynch drafted S. Thomas so he is likely more willing to be patient with him versus Armstead or Blair.

We might find out about their philosophy regarding the BPA and the draft this year. Williams is a legit candidate for becoming a perennial All-Pro. His ceiling is unbelievable, as he was a late-bloomer and not even considered to be amongst the best in 'Bama's recruiting class (which is saying quite a bit about his development). He is still learning the nuances of the game and outshined some other highly-touted players on the team last year. At several points, Nick Saban even hinted at being surprised at his play. An argument can be made that he is the best player in this entire class. He just presents a conundrum for the Niners, considering the strength of the current D-line.

They aren't the same and OSU is not an NFL team (albeit a # of their players have been handsomely paid by boosters)

I was fine with any of the big 3,....but now I hope we choose between 2 if we don't trade. Let him take that stuff to a smaller place.

What have I been fighting? I've posted Joey stats, DROY accolade, how their play is similar, and throw in their athletic ability is damn near identical. You've stated how nick will just be injured like Joey was this past yr...all the bad and none of the good.

Who cares if OSU isn't a NFL team, those kids come from all over the USA with different backgrounds. He's has zero issues and his teammates have said nothing but positive things about him.

Question his football play that's fine, no one will ever agree on that. Everything else is people forming opinions to push narratives.

I wanna give some big props to the mods. I thought you guys were shutting it down fast and removing all political comments. At least everyone is getting the opportunity to talk it out like grown ups. If they screw it up then I'm sure you'll take action.
