If the Cardinals can't work a substantial trade with the Raiders at pick No.4 or the Giants at No.6, I now think - yes, again - that Nick Bosa will be the pick at No.1. I know, sorry.

Woot!! Woot!! This is great news for us, now we just need to either land Williams or Allen in some kind of trade down. Hopefully with the a raiders at #4.

And, who do the Raiders take at #2?

Edit:someone already talked about this

It's starting to feel like Bosa is fading away each day that passes.

Guy is taking a shot in the dark with that comment. I'd wait to hear from some that's more established in AZ then this guy.

AZ taking Boss would be a blessing. Trade down is our best bet. If we can get an good ER that would be top 10 in any other draft and a top CB is definitely best scenario. Anyone who doesn't think secondary is our biggest need right now is too invested in Bosa or QW. We were middle of the pack rushing the QB last year. Dead last defending the pass. We have Ford now and can still spend a high pick on another ER who will likely have more potential than Bosa.

Please draft Boss AZ. Pretty please!

Nah.

There aren't an CBs worth drafting early in this draft. Bosa solves a problem we've had for 5 yrs. Also if AZ's man goal is to move down, why aren't teams gonna trade up to get him at 1, but will be willing to move up to 2?
If AZ takes Bosa we hope for a King's Ranaom trade or just take QW. I wouldn't be mad. Still getting a blue chip player.

I'd love to move back to the Raiders at #4 and take Allen, but who are the Raiders going to move up for?

That's how stupid AZ is, why would we trade up when we have no less than 3 options by staying at #2? Hopefully AZ doesn't have any good trade options and they take Bosa, then we end up with a huge trade down offer and still land an impact player. This would be true to the course of AZ's franchise luck.

Why would teams not give AZ any good offers but give us a huge one?

I call BS on this. Sounds like they're using their writers to try to get some can't pass up trades going down.

Of course moving down only to 4 or 6 while picking up extra first rounders+ would be a great move for them.

Taking Bosa is the part that I don't see happening. It would be them taking him out of spite almost. Sure he makes them better but IMO it's similar to us taking Quinnen Williams. Yes me makes us a better team and he's a great talent but he's not as good of a fit as Bosa to really helping us improve as a defense.

I want Bosa in a big way but IF Arizona takes him we're still in a great position. Whether we take Quinnen Williams or trade down(would be my preference) and hope to grab someone like Brian Burns or Josh Allen.

I think end of the day Kyler Murray goes #1. Question is to whom and whether or not we take Bosa in that scenario....if he's there at 2 and we don't take him i'm gonna cry.

Why are teams willing to trade with us, but not AZ if Arizona's goal is to move down?

IMO AZ is taking Murray, due to the fact that they need a splash play and NEED to put asses in seats. This is the definition of smokescreen and a poor attempt to get SF to move up to get Bosa.

It's not even him saying he has sources, it's him guessing and by him I mean a guy who has like 6.5K followers which isn't much...that's like Grant Cohn level
Nah, greedy Williams is going to be a pro bowl corner in this league. If we end up trading back - I wouldn't be upset if we took him.

I'd still like Bosa though

We were tied for 22nd with 4 other teams with 37 sacks. We got 8 of those against Oakland. That's almost 22% of the years sack total coming from one game.

That's what we call an abnormality. We averaged under 2 sacks in the other 15 games...that was our standard.

And not sure how your math is but 22nd...or 25th considering the ties isn't middle of the pack.

We had a ton of injuries in the secondary last year, young players still growing and a pass rush that outside the Oakland game would've averaged out to be about 30th in the league.

So there is no question that while our secondary had issues our biggest need is still outside pass rushers considering the most sacks by our edge guys were 5.5 sacks and that player is no longer on the roster.

Improve the pass rush and the secondary will look WAY better. Plus as has been said this corner class is far from impressive.
