The secondary wasn't about anything until Aldon came along. Whitner was a disappointing former 1st rounder. Rogers was largely seen as a bust. Goldson was meh before that and would go on to fall right off a cliff as soon as he left the 49ers.

That front seven which was absolutely devastating at times made the whole secondary look so much better. Go watch the second half of the 49ers vs Giants NFCCG in which Eli took one of the biggest beatdowns that I've ever seen any QB take.

I disagree. Sherman/Witherspoon/Tartt/Ward is a more talented group than Tarell Brown, Chris Culliver, Donte Whitner, and Dashon Goldson. Of those 4 only Whitner was any good on a different defense. The other 3 left and were never heard from again. Total products of that incredible front 7.
He's not a fit with Zona. They have three better choices...QW, Kyler, trade down.
Hell, Allen might be a better fit than Bosa as well.
He's ours.
Power of positive thinking kiddies!

No. Wrong. The guys under harbs were good tacklers and strong run defenders. Whitner hit everybody hard. Look at the highlights. Terrel Brown was a good cover guy ranked in the 20s at his position. The rush made it easier to overlook their lack of speed and coverage hassles, but no doubt I would take brown > witherspoon, goldson> colbert, whitner>tartt. Not really a discussion IMO.

Makes me giggle out loud.

So Bosa is the best player in the draft. Fine. You are AZ, and have an ER already, but have bupkis for inside DTs. Q is felt to be if not equal to Bosa , just a tad less. But he plays inside. You have an iffy QB, or let's say questionable QB. What do you do. Go for BPA where you already have an ER, or almost BPA at your biggest area of need, inside DT.? Or lastly, you can have the manchild Murray for your Qb. What do you do?

If it were me, I'd take Edge because of positional value. You can get DTs in the 5th round that are serviceable enough.

If you really feel like Murray is the next Russell Wilson though, then that would be the only thing that edges out Bosa right now. But I don't know if he is that good. I hope not.

My love for Josh Allen is well documented. And I have even mentioned I don't think Bosa is on the Myles Garrett/Von Miller level.

That being said, if the 49ers have the chance to draft Nick Bosa, you run the card to the commish..don't over think it. Well combine, injury, blah blah blah...draft him and thank your lucky stars you were in position to.

You do realize that is against Oregon State, right?

Bosa dominated a 1-8 team! Yipeeeee!!!!!

None of them were worth a damn outside of the 49ers. Having Justin Smith, Aldon, Ray McDonald, Brooks, Willis and Bowman would help pretty much any secondary look good.

Adding Bosa to this defense will help this secondary look a lot better. Sherman is already better than any CB the 49ers had during the Harbaugh era. Thomas would easily be better than any FS the 49ers have had since Merton Hanks.

Bigly.
Um um um! Adding him and another edge with Buckner and co and we will be talking about in the future if this line is as good or better vs Justin/Adon Smith group.
