Meet the new Raiders GM!!!!!

Stacking picks, coaching the Sr Bowl, and hiring a guy dedicated to the draft over free agency in the media. No doubt Gruden is using his 10 year contract to build in the draft.

I think this is a horrible idea and really just shows how these guys love hiring their friends.

This is the equivilant of hiring the EA sports guy in charge of making the Madden rankings for each player.

What they do this season in Free agency will tell the story. They need a pass rusher and free agency is filled with them. If they don't spend the money, I think they're gonna run the main part of the team on rookie contracts until they can get on their feet in Las Vegas.

Not the worst idea. He has experience scouting and he's already developed relationships with nearly every GM and college coaching staff.

To talk about his draft show on TV?

To talk about prospects... same thing they'll be talking about now. What they talked about doesn't really matter though. The relationships are in place. He not starting from scratch.

We did the same thing with Lynch. Mayock knows scouting better. John probably knows the NFL better. It's a Gruden, Raiders move for sure. No surprise

Thing is how much info will those contacts be providing now that they know he's employed by a rival team?
Can he put a good FO and scouting staff together?
