Mayock's Updated Position Rankings

Mayock is usually one of the most accurate prognosticators when it comes to the draft, he seems to have contact with a lot of teams and scouts to get an idea of where players are expected to land, these are his final pre-draft rankings.

Mayock is pretty strong yearly in his secondary analysis but not so strong on the offensive side of the ball.

I also don't like how he has ties for 5th. Commit to a player instead of having three way ties to hedge your bets. It shows a lack of confidence in his analysis
Seems fairly accurate save for a few.

Davenport over Landry, shows you Mayock's bias to potential vs college production .

Nearly everyone has Davenport over Landry.

Amongst others, Rough draft and THR both do (Dav > Landry). I like those sites a lot.

Still want Landry.
The order of the RB group was a little surprising but really.... after Barkley its pretty much 'pick your flavor' with the next 5 RBs.

I think he does it so those players are on the map for your average NFL fan that doesn't know hardly squat about them

Agree. I don't really pay much attention to Mayock for offensive rankings. DBs though, dude's good

Billy Price, overrated. I've yet to see film of both Wynn and Hernandez getting worked like Price did in the Michigan game.

Stacking picks, coaching the Sr Bowl, and hiring a guy dedicated to the draft over free agency in the media. No doubt Gruden is using his 10 year contract to build in the draft.

I think this is a horrible idea and really just shows how these guys love hiring their friends.

This is the equivilant of hiring the EA sports guy in charge of making the Madden rankings for each player.
