Stop it! Don't be a dream crusher.
If the draft plays out like MadDogs big board, any chance the 49ers try and move up to #6 for Chubb, and what would it take? (besides Armstead, Ward and/or your least favorite player)

In theory one of our 3rd's this year and another next year should cut it. The main issue is that a team may want to trade up for a QB at this spot which drives the price up.

I think the Colts would take him themselves if he dropped.

MD, thanks for doing this. I'm looking at this portion of your big board:

44 Martinas Rankin Mississippi St OT
45 Orlando Brown Oklahoma OT
46 DJ Chark LSU WR
47 Josh Sweat Florida St DE
48 Mike Gesicki Penn St TE
49 Justin Reid Stanford S
50 Brian O'Neill Pittsburgh OT
51 Austin Corbett Nevada OG
52 Tyrell Crosby Oregon OT

Any of the bolded worthwhile trading up for? Is there one out of the four that really stand out as being a good fit for the 49ers? I really want to be proactive with finding an understudy for Staley/Brown. I wouldn't mind trading the 59th overall + a 2019 pick to nab a good OT prospect.

edit: meant to type "trading the 59th"

Just to chime in...based on the pre-draft visits and reported connections, there are a ton of players between 15-58. That might indicate an option to trade back and/or up in that range and I'm with you, T is a huge need. It was a quick riser and I could easily see them targeting a T with the #2 pick. Most are in the 6'6" - 6'9" 300 range.
We need to find a way to grab Kyzir.

He'd look good in Reid's hybrid role. He fits in well playing closer to the LOS. White could be great value at WILL.

1-9: H. Landry, LEO, Boston College
2-59: B. Smith, G, Auburn
3-70: Q. Meeks, CB, Stanford
3-74: J. Baker, iLB, Ohio State
4-128: K. Turay, SAM, Rutgers
5-143: M. Ateman, WR, Oklahoma St.
6-184: A. Wadley, RB, Iowa
7-223: S. Welsh, G, Iowa

Edit: s**t, forgot to say thank you MD.

I'd be pretty excited about that. I like Ragnow a bit more than Smith, and Id sad to see OBO end up elsewhere. That said, Turay is a lot of fun to watch. He has a power counter that is very similar to Carl Lawson's, with a lot better bend. If his shoulder holds up, he's a steal.

BOOM! in for a visit, good call

MD, who are some late 7th round to UDFA you like?
I think Joe Ostman may fall into this catagory. Really productive, hard nose footballer.

Bunch of RBs: Chase Edmonds, Phillip Lindsay, Jarvion Franklin

Dejon Allen of Hawaii at guard or center, Frank Ginda and Christian Sam at ILB. Will Geary of Kansas St at DT, and Kentavius Street, who blew out his knee, and will need to sit out 2018.
Josh Norris may have the best NFL draft Twitter feed in the business. Outstanding work.
Some stuff to throw out. One of the reasons Mayfield stands out to me as the best QB in the draft.

2017 passer rating under pressure (of 48 draft-eligible QBs)
Mayfield 105.2 (1st)
Rudolph 94.4 (6th)
Jackson 91.7 (8th)
Falk 77.7 (17th)
Lauletta 76.6 (18th)
Darnold 73.6 (19th)
Rosen 68.4 (23rd)
White 66.8 (24th)
Allen 56.1 (33rd)

The only knocks on Mayfield are height and behavior. Everything else is there. Some believe he will be the first QB off the board, but the risk is much greater with him than the others. How did any of them do in the post season games--Senior, N/S...I didn't watch any this year.
