I like Colbert. I just wouldnt be surprised if Lynch selects Fitzpatrick or James. I would prefer Smith.

Apparently when he's injured he lacks "get-off" but apparently not in 2016 weird.

He racked up 16.5 sacks last fall despite facing a great deal of double teams from opposing offenses. He reminds me a lot of Vic Beasley coming out of Clemson. Both guys are special athletes with top-notch production and upside. I also see a little of Dee Ford in his play. I was surprised Landry elected to return to Boston College for his senior season, and I'll be even more surprised if he's not a top-10 pick in the spring."

Lol my dislike for Daniel Jeremiah surely enjoys this.

It's just silly, he says he's a top 10 pick end of the yr...then basically has 5 sacks in 6 games (he barely played in the ND game) and then was injured in the VTech game (and rest of the yr) and now he's 39th ranked lol?

As another poster said, he's getting feedback from a lot of NFL teams, and yeah if they are giving him some serious NFL *inside scouting information* but not letting their names appear as a source, I have some swampland by Levi Stadium I can sell you for dirt cheap.

It would be hard for any rookie to come in and duplicate what Adrian Colbert did. He looked ridiculously good. He's not losing his job to anyone if he simply maintains his level of play.

I think he's gotten drastically overrated here due to the obvious need for a pass rusher.

Overrated on the Zone? Never....

. I really like Landry (he is a top 20 talent for me), but I can see why some analysts don't have him higher.

This is what gets me. He was a first rounder easily pre combine. His combine did him no harm. Suddenly he's a second rounder.

No doubt Jeremiah and others talk to scouts/team execs etc, but that begs the question - in draft season how many of people he's talking to are part of teams who could benefit from Landry sliding?

The guy is a first rounder easy. It's just a matter of how high he goes.

Agree w/Phoenix WRT Landry...I know he had good numbers in 2015 & 16, but 2017 wasn't a good year for him. Some claim it was due to constant double teams...so my question is if he struggled with that at BC, how's he going to thrive in the NFL? If they go LB with the #9 pick, it should be Edmunds...he has more going for him than any of the other top LB's, IMHO. Jeremiah's a former NFL Scout, so his list is worth reading, whether you agree with how he ranks players or not.

I'm not defending Landry, but this makes no sense. The best edge rushers struggle to beat double teams in the NFL. All players do. It's two grown men vs one. It's to be expected.

Let's do some math. If someone has two good years and 1 down year due to injury and double teams what do you think is more representative of that players abilities? The first two or the last one?

Edmunds has more going for him? What does that even mean, brodie?

Look...you can disagree with me or Jeremiah, whoever, that's your right, but generally in this forum most of us agree to disagree. Jeremiah was an NFL scout for 3 teams over 8 years. His analyses are highly respected within the NFL, so that gives him a good deal of credibility. BL is his knowledge and experience is way more than any of us fans have, so I respect it.
