2018 East/West Shrine All-Star Game Thread 1-20-18

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline listed Penn State WR DaeSean Hamilton as one of his "winners" during East-West Shrine Game practices.

Hamilton (6'1/211) received rave reviews from virtually all publications that covered the practices, and Draft Analyst was no exception. "He ran great routes every day, separated from quicker, speedier cornerbacks and caught everything in sight, Pauline writes. "He won out for contested passes, grabbed receptions in the open field and consistently caught the ball with his hands away from his frame. He was also superb in blocking drills." There are concerns about his speed, but after showing out against the quality Washington defense and now this, his draft stock is certainly on the rise.

I totally forgot this dude was in the draft lol. I didn't really follow him this year, but I remember liking him a lot in 2016. He fits the mold of the athlete they want at LB.

I'm about to dive into the 2017 tape.

One guy to checkout today is TE Jordan Thomas kid is like 270 and has great hands...he can't block or anything but could be a solid red zone threat while learning the position

Good lord half of these guys could be ideal for our team

Some guys that stand out is damon Webb, brandon Facyson, Matthew Thomas, Javon Rolland-Jones, Tony Adams, Tegray Scales, Salesi Uhatafe etc....

JRJ and Scales would be real nice haul
It pays to be 6'4"

DT from UConn is having a solid game

Don't see it....TO was not only breaking tackles but outrunning people. This guy is involved in a lot of contested passes, tells me he doesn't get separation.
That game was painful to watch as the QB play was horrendous. Still, WR Fountain from Northern Iowa made quite an impression and so did DE Street from NC State. Did not see much from the edge rushers except the kid from Slippery Rock Martin. Too bad he made his impact as a FB. Can't wait for the Senior Bowl.
