Do you guys agree?

But the draft, especially the middle rounds, is believed to have a lot of options as well. Former 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan, who now runs his own scouting company, said this week he has 12 cornerbacks rated as first or second rounders. That might make cornerback and running back -- two potentially needy positions for the 49ers -- the deepest in this year's draft.

Not sure we need another run stuffing DL taken in first couple rounds who has a knock for lack of pass rushing.

yeah i agree. but it would take a huge load off buckner. I feel like he has played a ton and I think he would be much more productive if he gets a little less reps in games. But a true leo and further development from solomon would be my preferred route.

Don't disagree. He's going to start declining in the coming seasons. He's a short term stop gap, where you just hope to get 2 good season out of him

Its clear that they are interested in building a high quality stable of DL to rotate through.

They also spoke to Da'Shawn Hand

not a fan of hand. Doesn't seem explosive or have too many pass rushing moves.

Somewhat agree. I think some of the higher rated corners aren't all that while some of the mid round corners look like 1st rounders.

Everyone is still trying to hang onto his Rivals rating when he came out of HS. They're hoping something is there, but it's unlikely. He'll be a late round flyer for a team. The Browns come to mind.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline passes along that "[w]ord in Mobile is that the Colts would be willing to trade out of the third (overall) selection in order to accumulate extra draft picks."

Per Pauline, Indianapolis is hoping to emerge from the offseason with "at least three new linebackers and several cornerbacks." It's no surprise that they would consider trading down and that No. 3 pick could be ripe for a squad looking to jump up for a quarterback (particularly if the Browns do not go in that direction at No. 1). That being said, we're still so, so early in the process that for now, this is nothing more than something to keep in mind for the spring.

I keep thinking the Colts will trade down unless they take Barkley

Jaylen Samuels from NCSU is a stud! Been killing it in Mobile as well as Kalen Ballage. If Ballage is there round 3 I want him.

Kalen Ballage is Latavius Murray's doppelganger.

Of course Ballage looks good out of pads and with no tackling. He's a freak, but not a footballer I want on the niners.

Colts need a lot of bodies, especially on defense. If they trade out of that spot, I think they'll regret not taking a player like Barkley.

I agree and disagree in my own mind lol. If we didn't have a qb, obviously I'd pass on Barkley just like Fournette, but they like us have a qb (hopefully?) but what good is a RB when you can't create holes, protect the qb, or stop people from scoring lol.

They would probably be smart to draft the best lineman available on either offense or defense. They could get a boat load of picks in a trade as well. Can't wait!
