I would have taken Landry instead of Guice. But I dont think Darnold falls that low (has he declared?) and I dont like us trading down that far.
Roquon Smith or Rashaan Evans should both be there...one of them and Ridley, and Ronald Jones with the extra 2nd we acquire.

Two 2018 1st round picks and their 2nd round pick? Nah. That's a big drop off. Would take a 2019 1st as well. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it.

The Niners need blue chip players that you find in the top 10. Not solid guys you can get every year. Need to stay in top 10 unless the price is insane.

Would imagine the Niners will have offers from teams in the 7-10 range that are more appetizing.

Thats not enough to move back that far and we dont need to waste a 1st pick on a RB ...
no rb needed and i don't think he's the best wr available. loads or quality rb and wr in this draft

What would you do w/those picks in that draft position??
I like the idea of a trade with the bills. There are solid players around there. I don't like the Guice pick though. Maybe their firsts and a third. Along with a 2019 second. When it's all said and done though, we're likely picking around number 7.

Problem is the Niners need to come away with elite players. Moving back that far realistically offers several okay guys. Rarely is anybody special getting drafted in the 20s. And even when they do... they are the exception.

I get the allure of having lots of picks -- but at some point we need to start stockpiling elite talent as well.

If you're drafting in the top 10...or in this case the top 5...you're in position to take somebody who can shift the fortunes of your franchise. Better yet -- if two or three QBs go before the Niners pick -- they could very likely get to choose the best non-QB in the entire draft. That's a lot to give up. Not sure the price mentioned in this article is sufficient.

IMO, to far back to get real impact guys.

I'm hoping for an elite OLine guy like the guy from Notre Dame.

And a FWR if available.
What would the Cards give up for a chance at Darnold if he declares? They'll be picking between 8-11 and are in need of QB

Who knows. But Keim has put them in terrible position. They've punted on a QB for three years in a row now. They, for some reason, think Carson Palmer is a viable NFL QB. Now they will have no choice but to trade up to get a QB...not even the best QB in the draft.

The Cardinals can say goodbye to their 2019 1st round pick. They don't have enough picks this year to avoid giving that away.

Yea I feel you, but there aren't any clear cut guys to take in top 5 for us in my point of view. But there are several WRs to take in the 20s(chiefs pick) and some Edge rushers/SAMs to be had in the teens(bills pick). Two big positions of need. CB could be fixed in FA. Would suck to miss on Nelson though.

This draft is deep with talent, but after Rosen/Darnold/Barkley its not elite anymore in value positions. Nelson is an elite OG but it would be hard to pass on a great LB/WR when you can grab a OG in the 2nd and another later in the 5th-7th that could be a potential starter. Finding a #1 WR or Edge later is tough. Personally I would love this tradeback, we still have alot of holes, I'd take the 1st in 2019 and this year I'd target, Harold Landy or Roauan Smith and then grab Ridley or Sutton, Braden Smith in the 2nd... thats 3 gaping holes filled with starting caliber talent. Then 2019 with two 1st rounders, we can fill in DB and whatever else is a need.

LOL I just read this and was gonna post it to see what people thought...move down to 18th and get both their 1sts and a 2nd

I'm all for it...no way in hell do I see them taking a RB (not named Barkley) in the 1st.

IF I had those picks...I'd trade back up from 18th (with our 2nd) and get Nelson. Then I'd take Ridley and be super pumped
here's the full mock
