I like Penny, but think this was a horrible reach, and a bad fit for Seattle.

No chance at all this was a reach. He was easily the 2nd best RB in this class. NFL Network really liked the pick and said the GM's they talked to were really high on him. ESPN on the other hand does not know what they are talking about. That's why it's better to watch NFL Network. You BTW have not seen him play. But I have and he is every bit of this good and maybe even better than #27 overall. If anything he is a better player than that.

Possibly 8 rbs go ahead of him. Class is stacked this year. I think if we go rb this year 3rd and 4th round is where the value will be.

I didnt mean it like that. I mean based on fit for them, and how many RB's were on the board, i feel it was mostly a bad pick for them.

I think he is a late 1st to early 2nd round guy. Kiper already says he can easily go "very high 2nd." That's his words. Not mine. I think he can go higher. He can be the 2nd RB taken and go perhaps in the later 1st round.

Lost me with kiper lol...I don't see him as a top 64 pick.

Led the NCAA in rushing...all of the NCAA with 2,248 yards. He did this with a 7.8 YPC avg. His combine measurable were eye opening as he's a big back with explosive speed. He's also a proven pass catcher. Kid has great film, was super productive, has all the physical tools needed to succeed and from all accounts is a great leader with high character. He's going to be the 2nd or 3rd running back off the board come draft day.

JCS from March 16, 2018. Nice post.....

I had this guy as my #2 RB, #14 overall on my board. Super fun guy to watch, Seahawks got a beast potential pro bowler.

He's a special, special player and better than even the #27 overall pick where he went. People will look back 10 years later and wonder why he was picked #27 overall. Because he is a better player than that.

He is a homerun hitter and a special player indeed.

He better be special if he's going to succeed behind that lousy oline.

I'm sure they can fix it. They just picked him so they will build around him. Their O Line was mostly bad at pass blocking too. So they may commit more to the run. In future FA years and future Drafts they will build parts around him.

"We would have picked him at #18."

"We felt fortunate to get him at #27."

"Another NFL team called us to trade for Penny after we picked him." Which he says is highly unusual in the NFL.

Says Seahawks GM John Schneider.
I'm calling BS that a team called them after they picked him wanting to trade lol.
Lol. Seahawks fans watch us here. We will draft Penny for 2nd round. Seahawks is fear for us. Damn. Lol
