Ridley is too inconsistent to be a top 10 pick. Talented, but very inconsistent. I'd take him in the middle to the end of the 1st Rd, but not in the top 10.

I just rather have more of a blue collar, 3 down guy like Landry,Nelson or Roquan. Especially with emergence of Goodwin,Taylor,Kittle,Bourne and Garcon coming back not to mention taking a WR later if not signing one in FA.

Yes I agree. Wouldn't mind Nelson,Ferrell, Landry or Roquan.

People are sleeping on C.Ferrell from Clemson. I think he'll be a under the radar pick that no one expected to go in the top 10 like Alldone Smith but ended up being a great pick until he went retarded. We already have Buckner to play Justin Smith's role in taking on double teams.

I just prefer Landry for more speed/bend but Ferrell would be a solid pick in my book
why are we saying he is inconsistent? He's put up nice numbers despite playing on a run first team and did you see how ineffective his QB, Jalen Hurts was? He's put up big numbers every year he's been at Alabama including his freshman year.

Not sure if he's a top 10 pick but lets not throw crap out there just bc we saw he didn't do anything in the first half of the championship game.

FWIW

Demaryius Thomas as a Junior at Georgia Tech: 46 receptions for 1,154 yards and 8 touchdowns.

His QBs numbers: 1,701 10 TDs & 5 INTs.

So you can put up good numbers despite being in a run first offense.

Yah and Thomas was the ONLY threat as a receiver on that team. What was his route tree compared to Ridley's?

ER1, Ferrell, is rumored to be returning to Clemson

That would suck. But then again I think he needs more production.
Can't see us spending a 1st on a receiver. Especially when we managed so much production down the stretch without Garcon.

Like Oline I think we give Jimmy another weapon via FA.

That's funny I think we find O-line in free agency, gut feeling.

yeah i can Shannahan feeling comfortable with Goodwin, Garcon, and Taylor and then adding some competition with an underrated FA and a mid-late round pick

i think we do both high draft pick and top FA. We didnt see Garappolo rip alot 40-50 yard balls because Shannahan knew his line was trash and didnt want to risk his golden boy's health. If we want to take more shots down the field, we need to shore up that O-line with some top talent. We already have alot of money invested in Staley and possibly Brown in the next year, so bringing in two more big contracts on the line seems like too much money allocated to one group. If our FO plans on letting Brown walk, i can see us giving out two big contracts to O-lineman.
