I'm surprised at that, sure he's a bit undersized, but that acceleration and his route running ability pops straight away. Granted he'll get fewer free releases in the NFL, but I still see a good prospect.

How come you're so against him?

I'm going to have to start looking at those draft pick point charts again. I ideally would like for us to come out of the draft with 2, if not 3 elite day 1 starters. Ridley fits that description IMO. It's not that unrealistic, especially if we find the right trade partner. Thank you Shanalynch for making the Jimmy Garappolo trade happen.

You can toss them out the window if there isn't anyone who teams value as much as historical #2 picks. If there are no elite QBs, LTs, edge rushers, WRs or CBs available at 2, we aren't going to get anything remotely close to "fair" value based on that arbitrary trade chart. It feels like there are a lot of players that would be picked in the 10-20 range in most drafts and few if any that would be top 5 picks which is why we're talking about picking a very good RB at #2 or an OG in the top 5 or 10. If we come away with Barkley or Nelson and an extra 2nd round pick, I'll be happy regardless of where we traded back to (if we trade back to 5-8, we'd be getting massacred according to the trade value chart, but I'd rather have the 2nd round pick and one of those guys than take anyone else at 2).

I honestly don't care if we get the RG3 special by trading away number 2. It would be awesome if we could, but even if we don't, the extra picks still will hold great value. Also, given how the Rams and Eagles are fairing now (two teams that recently moved up for a QB), I can see a GM making the move if they fall in love with a prospect. I am only hoping that we put ourselves in position to add as many elite/superstar potential prospects as possible. I've got 3 on my radar and would love if the 49ers can land 2 of the 3.

Ridley is definitely a priority. One of the top pass rushers is another.

Where is his draft stock? It's still pretty early but I haven't heard much in terms of where he is slated to go.

It's too early to predict. Nobody thought Corey Davis, Mike Williams and John Ross would all go top 10 at this point last year. Hell not sure anyone thought that right before the draft.

This. If the draft were to happen today, the greatest threats to take Ridley are at the bottom of the top-10, Denver, Los Angeles, and Chicago. You also can't count Denver and the Chargers out on drafting a QB. So I think if we can trade down to no lower than 6th or 7th, we should be in the clear for Ridley. Hard to pass up O-line, and even though it's the greatest need, I think Ridley can have the greatest impact, and we can address the guard position with our second pick in the draft.
Did someone say they needed a WR?

Ridley!
I tore my ACL just watching Ridley cut on the logo in the gif above.
We need playmakers badly to help jimmy, I️ have no clue why we wouldn't trade down and take Ridley
I see Antonio Brown every time I watch him play.

If we don't go edge rusher in the top 3, or trade down for someone like Nelson, then we have to take Ridley, even if it's at #2.

Nelson and Ridley are becoming my favorites for us in the first round.
Give me ridley...if we sign Demarcus Lawrence, Shaq barrett, Ryan Jensen, and Andrew Norwalk in FA, and trade down.

Ridley is a top 3 WR for me, but not worth a top 5 pick
Ridley is literally open on every play. That's him on the left. Ridley absolutely smokes the DB and puts him through the spin cycle.

I ain't gonna lie, I keep flip-flopping between Saquan Barkley and Ridley in the top 10. I can't make up my mind every time flip through the channels and see one play. Thank god I don't have to make that decision.
