A whole lot of good guard prospects in this draft who project out to be at least decent NFL players. Much better depth and talent at the top than what we see in this year's draft where the cupboard was basically bare.

The OL talent in this class seems miles ahead of last season. Offensive talent in general seems better which is why I'm glad we went heavy on defense last draft when the defensive talent was much better.

Lucky for us. Id love to sign a veteran C&G then take a T/G in 3rd.

We should avoid T while we have staley and brown

You need a guy to develop. Staley has only so much tread left on his tires. Better to bring in a guy early than having to scramble for someone at the last minute.

Agreed. It doesn't have to be an early pick, but they must grab a young athletic tackle to groom now while Staley still has tread on the tires.

Agree with this. Staley has MAYBE two good years left after this. I like the idea of bringing in a G/T who can start at guard for a few years, but kick out down the line. Martez Ivey is one that fits that bill in the 2nd round.
All good candidates, from what I've read so far (Walter Football, NFL.com draft profiles, others). What I'd say to Lynch is go ahead and sign a FA C (e.g. Schwenke) and an OG (Trai Turner would be a top choice). The FA pool is weak in OT's, so that's where the draft comes in. I'd draft a top OT and a very good OG/C to develop. Signing a couple of 25 yr old FA's enables Lynch to address other needs such as WR, pass rusher in the first couple of rds.

Trai Turner is not a free agent. He was resigned in the offseason.

And Schwenke is blah. He can't even start on the woeful Colts OL.

i like him the more and more i see him
Sleeper Prospect- Dejon Allen/G/Hawaii

Entering the season little was known about Allen but the senior has elevated his game to the point where he could sneak into the middle rounds of the draft. A wide bodied blocker at 6-feet-2.5-inches and almost 300 pounds, Allen is quick, explosive and powerful while also displaying athleticism as well as top flight footwork from his tackle position. Offering a large degree of versatility and the ability to line up in multiple blocking schemes, Allen has the potential to develop into a starting guard at the next level.

Yes. He's been a bright spot on the team and been consistent all season.

Obviously i got no issue if its in the 2nd instead.. Especially if we net an extra second in a mini trade down
