Well he's never really had this much say in a draft so it's tough to really know. It's been reported that he wanted to draft Carr and Jimmy G and he wanted to pass on RG3, but like I said he didn't have the final say or really close to it

That doesn't mean you take a subpar game manager in the 3rd round of the draft. You can typically find guys like Beathard in the 5th and 6th round of most drafts.
