Delanie Walker 2.0

would love!

Delanie minus the blocking ability.

He is comparable to Jordan Reed in terms of how he could be used in this offense. Would love to have Engram but Everett is the next best move TE available.
Gerald Everett from nfl.com

"Blocks with anger and is prone to longer engagements than most blockers on perimeter."

And

"Bottom Line
It's difficult to find a good comparison for Everett because his size and toughness are similar to Marshall's coming out, but his playing style resembles Delanie Walker at times. Everett has size, speed and tremendous run-after-catch potential, but it is his willingness and ability to block that separates him from other "matchup" tight ends. Route running is below average, but he should improve with NFL coaching. Everett has the talent to become a very good NFL starter with Pro Bowl potential if he puts it all together."

If Jake Butt can make a great recovery, I think he would be an awesome pick. His character, leadership and all around talent would be a tremendous asset to our team. He would help set the tone on offense. the leader we lack on that side of the ball.

First round talent if it wasn't for that injury to add. Good value.
Probably a smoke screen lol

If it isn't Everett my money is on Adam Shaheen. Lynch talked about how fun it was to watch 'that tight end from Ashland' a few days ago in an interview. He would give the team some great size on offense

Do we have 2 4ths? I would take Butt with one of those
Name: Gerald Everett

School: South Alabama

Position: Tight end

Stat to know: Led all tight ends with 24 forced missed tackles in 2016, nine more than any other tight end. Also led in 2015 with 22.

"Jake Butt is also from Michigan. You know why this name is on here. Butt had surgery for an ACL injury in January playing in the Orange Bowl. Even if he doesn't play this year, Butt looks to make a full recovery and play in the near future. Butt was easily in the top three for tight ends, along with O.J. Howard from Alabama and David Njoku out of Miami, and arguably the number one for his respective position."

Just saw Ian's tweet about Browns/Bengals attempting to work a trade for McCarron.

The Browns had a dang good first round but man they are doing everything to try to pull a QB out of a hat. Cousins, Jimmy G, McCarron... who else?

1. O. J. Howard, Alabama: Can start day 1 and make a huge impact in all areas.

2. David Njoku, Miami: The only other tight end in this class with a shot at being a 1st round pick. He's a stud receiver but a decent blocker in his own right too.

3. Adam Shaheen, Ashland: He comes from a small school but his hands, speed and size are all fantastic. He has the skillset to become an elite tight end.

4. Bucky Hodges, Virginia Tech: At 6'7″ he has tremendous size but he also made a lot of big plays for the Hokies. He can make a tremendous impact in the passing game.

5. Evan Engram, Ole Miss: Definitely more of a receiver but his speed makes him dangerous down the seam.

6. Gerald Everett, South Alabama: Similar to Engram as a prospect. Tremendous potential but maybe more question marks and a non factor blocking.

7. Jake Butt, Michigan: He would likely be higher on this list if he wasn't recovering from an ACL tear. He's not an exceptional speed receiving tight end but he's solid in all areas.

8. Eric Saubert, Drake: Potential is off the charts but he's inconsistent and raw.

9. Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas: A very solid and safe pick that should do well in the NFL. Good in all areas, but not elite at anything.

10. Jordan Leggett, Clemson: A big time receiver for Watson with nice size.
