MD sees him going before Lawson
He's a beast. Really good hands, get off and ability to flatten around that corner.
I've seen him all the way up in the 1st round, but if he's there at 34.. I want him.

Agreed. I think he would look great on our defense
Just in case the anti Solomon Thomas crowd checks in here Rivers and Thomas' combine numbers were very close to each other despite a 25 lb weight difference. Let that sink in...

I do agree Rivers is a pretty good player in his own right.
Yes, but Solomon Thomas did most of his work on the interior... Derek Rivers was coming off the edge (Leo). I'm not saying Solomon Thomas isn't versatile, but he's got a rather thick build to play Leo, and he's not quite thick enough for a 1T, leaves him as a 3T/5T.. Exactly where I think he fits best. I'd have no problem with getting them both and building the hell out of the DL. But my biggest hope is that we trade back from 2, take MW or CD, then with 2 second round picks take Rivers and Jarrad Davis if they are both available
Still trying to figure out why the webzone isn't all about this man especially the Hooker lovers.. If Charles Harris doesn't make it to 34 (which he wont), why not Rivers?

Can Rivers learn to play the SAM in base next year?
I am all about him. He's a top 5 edge rusher for me.

I love how consistent he is with the three attributes I pointed out above. I see it on tape, game in and game out.

With his athleticism, I don't know why not? High character guy who puts in serious work on the field and in the weight room from everything I've seen, I hope he's our second round pick. Especially if we can get the Browns to move up to 2 and have 12, 33, and 34

Finally, someone! If he went to a power 5 conference school, he'd be a top 15 pick

Hadn't really paid any attention to him until this morning. The guy runs hard but has some balance problems and might be a bit stiff. That being said, his first step when changing direction is really slow, and if someone can teach him how to move correctly, he could really be something. I'm not so sure he would have had such great production against better competition, but I like his potential.

Not surprised by that at all.

Which pass rusher will it be? Probably one that can stop the run too
