in this draft that you believe we can reasonably pick up and will set the 49ers for success for years to come. Here are my draft crushes but we'll need to trade up for a 2nd pick in the 1st round most likely: 1. Malik Hooker -- gaining steam like crazy despite Mayock's drop of him in his safety rankings. No explanation necessary -- best free safety for a cover 1 scheme in the league. 2. Corey Davis -- dude balled and pwned division II''ers ? Still he's a beast, plays like TO without the dropsies and additional baggage. 3. Pat Mahomes -- He can make all the throws from any position. He's a gun slinger aka Brett Favre. If Shanny can mold him into his vision of a QB for his system we're going to get Brett Favre merged with John Elway.

That's certainly possible.

We all hoped for a few weeks that Reddick was going to be a 2nd round gem. He's lurking around in the mid-1st range now.

trade down from 2 to 6, gaining a 2nd and a 3rd. Use 34 and the new third (consider adding 4th/5th) to go back up as far as we can into the 1st to get Mahomes. Pick Davis at 6, Bowser or Watt at 38.
