With the trade for Zuttah, the niners line is starting to shape up, and I like the fact that Kilgore can be a swing player backing up the guard and center positions. Starters LT – Staley LG – Beadles C – Zuttah RG – Garnett RT – Brown Bench Kilgore (C/OG) Theus (T) With that move, I think we are probably done adding veterans in FA, but I think we'll definitely draft a couple of lineman who can be developed into the type of zone blockers that Shanahan is looking for. What are some of your favorite ZBS style lineman in this draft? Below is a running list of guys I like, along with their projected draft round. Garcia is probably a favorite of mine because I like the traits and potential, but he could sit for a couple years behind Staley and Brown. Collins is a boom or bust guy, but love the athleticism and think he'd be worth a late round pick. OL "projects" dont turn out to be much more successful than QB "projects." You either have it between the ears or you dont.

If youre looking for late round OL to fit into a ZBS youre looking at smaller school guys with decent technique and mental aptitude for the position, guys that might have shorter arms or not be impressive physically and even athletically but with good overall football IQ.

In the later rounds of this draft, JJ Dielman is an ideal center or guard for the sort of scheme that Shanahan runs. Highly intelligent, tough, moves well at the second level, he is a nice fit as a guy you can try to develop into a starter.
