Chc 3, Cincy 9.

Thanks. I was asking cause if we take a guy at 2, but odds say he drops 7 spots etc. makes you wonder. The fact the bears would snatch him up makes taking him at 2 more valid. I know that's an easy way out and following the pack etc, but I don't want to reach to much.

I'd still love to see hooker- thomas- Adams- Allen , Fournette. If they love a qb so be it.

Can Reid stay consussiom free at SS?
Can Tartt actually be trusted to start?
We have major ? at CB.

Adams would be the best SS on the roster
Hooker would be the best FS on the roster
The top 3 CB's would most likely start day 1

That's an assumption on all 3 of those. You don't know that. There have been plenty highly rated rookies who couldn't beat out vets right away.

The corners on the team and the safeties have arguably shown more than Armstead has so the point was valid.

That's why you don't worry about stuff like that. Draft bPA within reason and let the guys battle it out. Best ones rise to the top.

At 2 overall they better be starting. None of our DB's compare the the top guys at 2.

And it's not just AA. Does moving Buck away from the 5 make sense? Do you know that Thomas is the better prospect at the 5?

In regards to Blair Michael Bennett didn't half the combine numbers as most prospects did hence why he went undrafted yet who's the all pro? Sometimes people forget that alot of these college kids haven't been thru as good of a strength and conditioning program. So you may see it as them working with sub par ability but really they just were just behind the curve a bit. If you look at Blair's scouting report you'd see he was carrying bad fat. Nothing that can't be worked off though. Blair is a very promising piece you just don't ever bet on that. If he earns a starting gig then he earned it.

Wouldn't that also apply to someone like Thomas who hasn't had a chance to really progress just because the team felt best fit for them with their roster was at a certain position?

Bennett somehow improved in the NFL but you can't for the life of you buy into the idea that Thomas can be a good player on the outside?

#2 pick in the draft, undrafted. I'm taking someone at 2 unless there's a proven role for him.

I believe Thomas is a better outside rusher yes. I think having both of those guys on the DL would cause some serious headaches for other teams OL and their QBs. If AA keeps getting better that's even better.

I think good players make plays regardless. So if the 3 of them may not be the traditional size it means little to me as long as they're making plays.

NFL has plenty of examples of guys who don't fit the standard mold at a position making serious impact on the field.

If all 3 of those guys are dominant our defense will be back to top 5 very quickly. And I'll take a dominant do over a dominant secondary any day of the week.

Neither of us are running the 49ers draft. We'll see what happens within 48 hours. And we'll see how Thomas does in the NFL in a couple of years.

I'm very confident in the coaches getting him on the field. Whether he's the pick is another story.

I think he'll be a fine NFL player especially if he goes to Chicago and if we do take him yeah I'm going to pretend the last month didn't happen. He's Justin Smith 2.0. Just I want to trade down and go o or grab a qb. Baalke fatigue we've done the d thing for way too long.

No I think 17-20 lbs can make a pretty solid of a difference. If Thomas was 273 being an inch taller, Blair needs to be 263-265 since he's an inch shorter IMO. 17-20 lbs easily lowers your power to weight ratio and you WILL NOT, be as explosive.

Shuttle and 3 cone is more flexibility and speed. Youre reaching with the extra inch crap too. Weight is weight, height doesn't change how fast a body moves. At least not an inch.

I'm not reaching at all, cause I'm not saying if Blair was at 263-265 he'd beat him. But I'm not argue with you, if Blair was at that weight I'm referring to, his numbers would've been better. But I feel like their game coming out of college kind of compare, not gonna say something like cause he's on the team we should absolutely pass.

Weight is not weight, the taller you are the more weight you're naturally gonna carry. The guy that's 5'9 195 is most likely gonna look more jacked than the guy that's 5'10 195 if they have the same body fat.

The point was at the end of the day you're still carrying the same weight which is typically the deciding factor on how fast you run, how far you jump, and how well you move....etc

6'2 and 6'3 IMO doesn't correlate to another 6-9 lbs of weight. Plus we all know not all weight is created equal. You mentioned it yourself by adding the same body fat comment.

Not to dog our man Ronald...but here is a comparison of the two guys running the 40

There's a lot more fat on Blair so their body weight is most certainly not the same. You can tell Ronald has a lot more weight in his legs and anyone who watches the two of them run will most certainly confirm if they're clones...then we're talking about these guys.

Lol. It changes things. I guess Tank and Blair are lining up at LDE as well which means Buck is at 3 tech

LDE- Soloman Thomas / Ronald Blair
NT- Earl Mitchell
3T- DeForest Buckner
LEO- Arik Armstead / Aaron Lynch

Hell. Draft Jordan Willis and our Nickle line is:

LDE- Jordan Willis
DT- Soloman Thomas
3T- DeForest Buckner
LEO- Arik Armstead

God darn thats a nice Dline
