Tanoh Kpassagnon, EDGE, Villanova

With Buckner and Armstead I find it unlikely we'll be looking there but it's a very intriguing write up.

EDIT: for clarification EDGE players would be a 3-4 OLB or a 4-3 DE while Armstead and Buck are 3-4 DE and 4-3 DT. He'd be playing in Aldon Smith old spot not Justin Smith's.

At 6'7 290 he will not be a pro outside lb. If we were to draft him we'd move him to end.

While I don't think he'd take the league by storm for a year or two, unless he gets coached very well on hand technique and takes to the teaching exceptionally quickly, he looks like a monster. He actually looks like a prototypical 3-4 OLB in his body type, until you realize that he's not 6'5" 260, he's 6'7" 290 . I don't know if he'd need to cut weight to increase explosiveness in the NFL, but he looked quick enough to win the edge easily against lesser competition. He has a huge opportunity to impress against NFL bound tackles in Mobile, but even that performance will be tempered by the dearth of talent along the OL in the 2017 draft class. Shoot, I'd like to see him at OLB. With the DEs we have and Lynch going 270 at the opposite OLB spot, we'd have to be the biggest front 5 in football. At least it'd be cool to look at...

sorry but this isn't right. He's an EDGE through and through. He played EDGE at Villanova and he's projected to play EDGE. He could move inside on some passing downs but his strengths really are his ability to be quick and bend the edge.

If the draft was tomorrow I'd say he'd go in the 3rd-5th but I really have a feeling he is going to blow up soon.

They said he came into the program at 220 and muscled up to 280-290. I like that OLB thinking too with the quickness he has. It's the read in coverage that would really take time if we were to stand him up. Sending him and Lynch off the edges on passing downs would be fun af to watch tho lol.

I agree with this. His size is nuts. Might take a couple years to coach up but if he could learn to use that length like Aldon did he could and retain that quickness he could be a terror in the league for years.

What someone does in college doesn't always project to the pros. For instance Peppers is going to learn to be a safety. I'm sure he could be a 4-3 end but 3-4 they'd most likely move him inside

I'm tellin you dude. Watch his film. He project to EDGE because that's what he is good at. Just because he's tall doesn't mean he can rush the passer. As a coach you want to put your players in the best position to succeed and 5T wouldn't be it for him.The ability to be that large but move that quick and bend that well is what makes him special and that would be wasted playing inside every down.

I just watched the video that draft breakdown has on him and dude is a physical specimen. He looks to have the body type of a 3-4 olb but bigger. Off just watching the games film once, looks like he will have a steep learning curve at the pro level. He was bigger and stronger than most everyone he played against at Villanova, He won't have that luxury in the pros. Needs to learn to use his length and more bend around the edge. But if dude can get coached up who knows.

If they listed him at 270 lbs, nobody would bat an eye at the notion of him playing OLB. He's really athletic and nimble for a guy that's listed at 290 lbs. He's just be a massive OLB in our scheme.

Well his name literally has "pass on" in it so.

If we get another player on the line that big our run d will be worse than it was this year.
