General Manager/Team President - Mike Shanahan
Assistant GM - Tom Gamble
Head Coach - Chip Kelly (He remains for the time being)
Free Agents
Resign Colin Kaepernick to a 1 year deal, while Watson sits for a year.
Resign Dawson, Draughan, Kerley, Bellore, Ponder, Harris, Armstrong, Hodges, and Patton.
Dontari Poe, NT - I prefer Bennie Logan, but I think the Eagles will resign him, whereas the Chiefs have to resign Eric Berry and I think he is the priority for them
Kiko Alonso, LB - He comes in to compete for the open linebacker spot.
Kenyon Barner, RB - He is a playmaker that has experience in Kelly's system. He comes in and competes for carries behind Hyde.
1. Round 1 (2) - There is not a clear franchise QB worth a Top 5 or Top 10 pick in this draft. In McShay's most recent mock draft, he doesn't have a QB going until Trubisky at pick 30 of the first round. In this case, I believe the Browns will take Myles Garrett number one. So where does that leave us.
***TRADE DOWN*** The 49ers trade the 2nd pick to the Browns for the 10th pick (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/12/11/13915412/nfl-draft-order-2017-browns-49ers-jaguars-jets-bears), the Browns second round pick that they are owed from Tennessee (approx. pick 50), the Browns own third round pick (pick 65), and the Browns first round pick in 2018.
Then the 49ers select Mike Williams, WR, Clemson. Our current depth chart at WR is so bad. We need a #1, we need depth, we need more playmakers. Mike Williams is arguably the best WR coming out this year.
2. Round 2 (own pick) - Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson. I learned my lesson in not taking a QB in my first mock draft. Watson is not without his warts, but he is the most experienced QB coming out this year, and he has a skillset that should fit Kelly's system well.
3. Round 2 (From the Browns by way of Tennessee) - Ethan Pocic, OG/OC, LSU. I believe in drafting lineman, offensive and defensive, every year. Successful teams are built from the inside out. Yes, we have Kilgore at Center, but he is injured again, and we just signed Beadles and drafted Garnett, but Pocic is worth it. Let them compete and see what happens. Either way, we develop depth.
4. Round 3 (From the Browns) - Anthony Walker, LB, Northwestern. This is a need that must be addressed and after foregoing Foster, Cunningham, McMillan, and Davis, Walker is the best remaining. He has the size and speed to both a solid run stuffer and coverage LB.
5. Round 3 (own pick) - Ryan Anderson, OLB/DE, Alabama. He is developing into one of Alabama's best pass rushers, which is certainly something we could use.
6. Round 4 (own pick) - Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma. He slips due to questions about his size and durability. But he is an ideal weapon for Chip Kelly's offense.
7. Round 5 (own pick) - Dalvin Tomlinson, NT, Alabama. Always questions with Alabama prospects due to the system they play in and the talent surrounding them. But he is a solid run stuffing NT, which we certainly have a need for.
8. Round 5 (Washington pick acquired in trade for TE Derek Carrier) - Avery Gennesy, OT, Texas A&M. Just like with Pocic. We have Staley and Brown, and just drafted Theus and Cooper last year, but lets throw Gennesy in and let me compete.
9. Round 6 (own pick) - Stacy Coley, WR, Miami. Speedy WR that adds another playmaker to the offense.
10. Round 6 (Denver pick acquired in trade for TE Vernon Davis) - Jamal Williams, RB, BYU. Another playmaker for the offense. His success against BYU's schedule this year has been impressive. He is one of the most underrated backs in the country.
11. Round 7 (Cleveland's pick acquired in 2015 trade for Andy Lee) - Brandon Facyson, CB, Virginia Tech. Solid corner from a program that is known for producing good defensive backs.

We have pretty obvious needs. On offense, we need playmakers and a franchise QB. On defense, we need pass rushers and better linebackers. I believe this draft fills those needs. it is a solid talent infusion. Now, it is early in the process, some of the picks might be wishful thinking, but I think it is pretty fair from my research. Let me know what you guys think.
