And if Watson is that close to being had in the 2nd round, I don't think I would've traded up for him, but that's just me.

Why does everyone think we can trade Tank for anything but a ham sandwich? He's a bust for the worse team in the NFL.

I get the Jay Cutler criticism, but it's easy to point the finger and say "no I don't like it" without offering an alternative solution.
Kizer or Trubisky - not worth a top 5-10 pick, but will get chosen in the top 5-10. Myles Garrett >>> QB
Trade for Jimmy G - nope, don't trust Pats QBs. Don't want to give up the draft picks.
Mike Glennon - accuracy and consistency issues (sound familiar...)
Tony Romo - too old, wants to play for a winner...never would come here
Brian Hoyer - hell no, too inconsistent
Colin Kaepernick/Blaine Gabbert - we need to move on from the Baalke QBs
Trade for a Bryce Petty, Brett Hundley, or Tom Savage QB - doesn't exactly solve our QB woes.
Draft a QB in the late 1/early 2 instead of the top 5 - done...Watson.

Cutler actually showed a lot of progress under Adam Gase in the 2015 season. I think Chip Kelly can harness that progress he made within his QB-friendly offense. We are not asking Cutler to take 7 step drops and hold the ball for an extended period of time. We will ask him to hit on the short and mid-range throws, and selectively go deep.
Give Cutler an offensive line for protection, and Cutler will provided our badly needed chunk plays.

Sorry man just can't get behind Cutler and I don't think anyone else can lol. It would be a slap in the face to have this fool starting in 2017.
SO you don't trust NE QBs based off Matt Cassel? They're completely different players. One was a backup in college and a 7th round pick the other was a 2nd round pick and broke all of Tony Romo's records in college along with showing promise when on the field.
Why not give up a 2nd this yr and a conditional pick in 2018? If he was in this yrs draft he'd be the top prospect by far (at QB)
We have a ton of draft picks and a ton of young prospects, why not give up a pick or two for a QB that's been groomed behind on of the best? FYI Watson isn't lasting until the 30th pick in the draft no way.

I've actually mocked a trade for Jimmy G in one of my previous ones. There was strong push back on the board for that trade.
