Doomsday Scenario according to Matt Miller- NFL draft lead writer for Bleacher Report

It sounds like Kizer or Trubisky are candidates to rise up.
If nothing else, taking an elite defender isn't the end of the world (Adams, Peppers, Allen).

This

Hows Todd Gurley working out for LA? They are 10-14 the last two years & he is currently averaging 3.1 ypa.
the issue with the rams is they have no wr and no qb they are stacking the box every play

Nor do we, and we're just as bad or worse. Fournette would get a stacked box all day, averaging 1/4 of an inch (not a foot or yard) per game

1) Myles Garret

or

2) top QB in the draft (per our board)

Actually very much a win win if you ask me, whomever goes first we take the other, if neither go first then we can consider a slight trade down if we don't want Garret and are comfortable with 2-3 of the top qb's.

No QB worth a 2. To moverestimate somebody up a full round (imo) because of there position is just stupid. The talent level from Garrett to the top QBs is a full round of drop off

if we switch to a 4-3 yes

but as a 3-4 our DL is set

Our DL is set? Are you kidding with that statement? Our DL has a gaping hole in the middle that teams have been exploiting all year.

There was no QB worth it at #2 to Cleveland last year and that pick ended up being Carson Wentz. If by the draft there is a QB considered a top 5-8 pick, you have to take him & hope Kelly can put him in a situation to be successful.

Exactly this, more football and a lot of scouting to do with the Bowls and workouts..

Someone like kizer IMO would be perfect for Hue.

In the 7-10 range of the draft. They aren't going to use the #1 pick on a developmental QB prospect. They'll trade back from 1 to a team that likes Garrett or they'll trade up from their 2nd first round pick if they have to.

Honestly you have no idea what they will do its November

Fair enough - none of us know what's going to happen, but the Browns have a lot of flexibility with 2 first round picks and Garrett looks like the BPA right now. If a QB doesn't separate himself, Garrett is likely to be the #1 pick whether it's for the Browns or another team that trades for the pick.

FYI I didn't say they'd draft kizer at one, just saying he's a great fit for what Hue wants in a qb.
All the posts make sense but you have to have a sharp GM that knows how to make offensive picks.
Trade back get Reuben Foster
