Depending on how things turn out in a downward trade I'd be really interested in this guy.
As much as I like Hyde, someone with Cook's speed in an outside zone/stretch running game could be lethal.

Exactly this, imagine a bigger Freeman hitting those cutback lanes

Cook is my fav RB in the draft (I'm a little bias) but why not go after Alvin Kamara who's been linked as a Freeman clone in say the 3rd?

I'm a tad bias as well being a Noles fan lol. Honestly, I haven't watched much of Kamara but I really think Cook is going to be special. Looking back who wouldn't of took Bell or McCoy at the top of the 1st? Not sure I'd take him at #2 overall considering how much help this team needs but I'd love a small trade down to take him.

I'm a Noles fan as well but look at what you just said...bell is a stud and was drafted in the 3rd. Good RBs can be found and this draft is full of them. Shanahan (and his father's) offense has taken low round RB and made them very good. We need help like you said but RB isn't high on the list. Hyde is still a very good RB and imo he needs someone to take some snaps, cook isn't a time sharing RB. If we drafted down I hope it's not to draft cook.

Solid points all the way around. It's probably more of me being stubborn on Cook versus anything else lol. That being said, I won't be upset if we trade down to mid round and take Cook.

I don't get how any of you know RB isn't a priority on Shanahan's list...outside of Hyde, there isn't much else in our RB corps. We've all seen how Shanahan likes to use his RB's, so I think he'll definitely draft one to compliment Carlos. I'd agree Cook will likely be gone by the time he/Lynch are thinking about taking a RB. But, there are quite a few very good RB's who could take some of Hyde's hits away from him and are very good receivers to boot. Some names to consider would likely include McNichols, Mixon, Hill, Gallman, Hunt, Clement, etc. There are a lot of needs going into the draft...and the FA's they sign will have some impact, but I don't see any way they don't get a quality RB, it's too much a part of Shanahan's offense.

I'll take the RB that hasn't already gone to trial once over battery charges against a woman. I know he was acquitted ... but it's Florida. Casey Anthony was acquitted in Florida. He isn't worth a first round pick.

As @AlbertBreer wrote, FSU RB Dalvin Cook must answer "off-field questions" at combine.

I'll add: Teams have done a lot of digging on Cook.

Fournette is the best back coming out of this draft. Period! Cook does have the speed but what I noticed is he is not to good with his cuts. He rounds off. Fournette has great skills all around even the way he protects the ball and switches arms depending which side of the field he is on and where the defender is. He's a special talent. Worthy of top five pick!
