They really should have traded him for a 5th round pick) Resign: Jeremy Kerley: solid Blaine Gabbert: cap friendly backup DuJuan Harris: wouldn't be surprised if he became 2016 surprise break out player. Ray-Ray Armstrong: love this guy Ian Williams: just in case Free Agents: Dontari Poe NT 5 years 47 million 24 guaranteed The Chiefs have a choice of keeping either Eric Berry or Poe and I have a feeling Poe will be the odd man out. Exactly what we need to clog the middle. He's a beast with the only draw-back being a herniated disc in his neck that was operated on in 2015. Kevin Zeitler OG 5 years 50 million 25 guaranteed Another cap casualty of 2017 with talent behind him that makes him replaceable. The best pass blocking guard in the NFL hands down with continuous improvement shown in the run game. Chandler Jones OLB 6 year 98 million 54 guaranteed This guy is high on my wish list for off-season acquisitions. The main reason I don't' see the Cardinals doing this is they don't have the cap space to even franchise him unless they trim some major fat off their roster. With Floyd and Jefferson and Campbell coming up I can see them letting him go. Don't'a Hightower ILB 5 years 50 million 23 guaranteed Pats aren't exactly known for keeping players. Instant upgrade to ILB position. Kamar Aiken WR 3 years 16 million 4 guaranteed Forgotten man in Baltimore but I see him fitting in well here and a definite upgrade to Torrey Smith for a lot less money. Bottom line: these players are all essential to start rebuilding. I'm speculating as to who will be available and Hightower and Jones are both 50/50 as far as availability. Before you panic about the cap: we could be looking at over a 100 million in cap space and with guaranteed money and signing bonus' essentially being what you look at with NFL contracts, it would leave us with the option to really front load these contracts and still be at least 15 million under the cap in 2017. This is of course factoring in various extensions and additions along with rookies to these four guys. 49ers pick 2nd overall in 2017 draft but Cleveland will go after Mitch with the 1st pick, not Garrett. Trade pick to Tennessee for 2 1's 2017, 2017 3rd and 2018 1st. Call me crazy but with Garrett and Peppers and Allen and 2 second and 2 3rd round picks the Titans are going to be going for an impact player on defense. 49ers Draft: 1 a) Takkarisk McKinley 3-4 OLB UCLA 1 b) Reuben Foster ILB Alabama 2. Corey Davis WR SMU 3. a) Luke Falk QB Washington State 3. b) Jeremy Sprinkle TE Arkansas 4. a) Mason Cole C Michigan 4. b) Cooper Kupp WR EWU 5. Chad Kelly QB Ole Miss 6 a) Donnel Pumphrey RB San Diego State 6 b) Obi Malifonwu S Conneticut 7. Jamal Williams RB BYU This off season would bring our defense back to respectability and we'd get some decent starting pieces for offensive playmakers. I know we need a QB but this is a pretty weak class with minimal separation between teams that reach for a guy like Watson and a guy like Falk in the 3rd. I say we draft 2 a year until we find our guy.
