What would you give up to New England for the rights to Jimmy Garropolo??

Phoenix, I didn't base not going after him solely on the fact he got hurt...but one of the "selling" points I've heard about him is how tough he is. The bigger fact is he's only had 2 starts...and that's simply not enough reason to pursue him, IMHO.

Which is 2 more starts than any QB in college currently has had.

Its not like Garoppolo is some obscure 7th rounder that had a couple good games, he was a highly regarded prospect just a couple years ago.

Nothing is ever guaranteed but just based on his skillset alone Garoppolo would be a good fit for what Kelly likes to do on offense.

WHAT IF, Bill counter everyone's offer with the asking price of:

GRAPPY TO THE 49ERS

NEW ENGLAND GETS - Bowman OR Lynch with Tartt and a 2018 third??

Then you tell Bill to knob off.

This. Considering that the 49ers will be picking early, an early 2nd and a conditional 3rd or 4th should be enough. If the Patriots dont like it then you tell them to jog on.

Give them Blaine and Baalke, and then cut Garropollo.

Nope. Would rather draft a QB in the first.

Because Garoppolo is the ONLY QB out there right?

Garoppolo is worth it if the price is reasonable. Beyond that the team is better off drafting a QB early.

Personally i have a huge man crush on Garropolo. I have since well before he was drafted as documented in the draft forums. Me and phoenix had lots of convos about him that year.

Im not a GM, and im certain i would be horrible if i was, but i would give up a first for him. Even 2017 first rounder. Yes.

I dont think he is a product of the system.
Good luck, Bill Belichick doesn't give ice in the winter. If he isn't the answer once Brady retires, watch him become available in the off season. Buyer Beware!
LMFAO!!! Are you kidding? We have a friggin' project (failed) already! If Kap can't help this team, there is a need for new blood! In the FO, on the sideline, hell, the ownership (comeback Eddie D., PLEASE!). I see a total rebuild now. Maybe hold on to the OL (find someone for #74) but, damn, let's be honest. Ain't no winning in this group. At least it hasn't appeared recently. Draft day, let's pick a QB and take it from there

No more than a 4th round pick....what's that you say, No, OK moving on.

Seriously though, I would rather look towards the draft than to give up a first or second day pick for Garrapolo.
A six pack of CHEAP beer and a pizza.

I like him but I wouldn't go that far. I'd rather they just take a guy like Kizer early and have a QB with a tremendous skillset under team control for 5 years at a reasonable salary.

I think Garoppolo has the potential of being a pretty good starter in the NFL for a long time ala a Matt Schaub type before he went full potato, but if the Patriots do decide to trade him that largely means that they don't see him as an irreplaceable talent which I don't believe he is. That said, I wish that the 49ers had just drafted him in the first place and used him as a guy to keep Kaepernick motivated to work hard and a "break in case of emergency" QB option if things went down like they did last year.
Do you guys think New England would take Balkee as a janitor?
