QB Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State 6'4 230 Lbs

Big 12 QB lighting it up isn't really earthshaking news. Guys put up huge numbers playing in gimmicky video game offenses and then go on to do next to nothing in the NFL.

I like Rudolph better than most QBs coming out of that conference but he still has plenty of flaws just the same.

"He's O.K.," said one AFC scouting director. "He's playing in a great, quarterback-friendly offense. Probably has a top 10-caliber group of receivers. Gundy is a great coach and does an outstanding job with that offense. I'm not sold on him as a top guy . . . He's a decent athlete. He's tough and runs that offense well. But not sure the video game numbers he's gonna put up this year will translate to the NFL."

"He's got good size," was the positive an AFC personnel exec found before echoing the sentiment, "but his arm strength is lacking and he's inconsistent with his accuracy."

Added an area scout: "Not as good as the media wants everyone to believe; he's a Day 3 guy. His accuracy isn't as good as the numbers show—his receivers make a lot of tough catches for him. Arm strength is adequate, not tops. What's the difference between him and Bryce Petty

I'd be excited to get him on day 3!

if Beathard works out as a future starter, would love Rudolph as a backup. But i feel like once draft day starts getting closer, he will shoot up boards.

Sweet. Now hell be the man there and give everyone boners until the combine.

Rudolph is a guy i think can be a first rounder by the time its all said and done. This seems like a guy you gotta give a year to develop in an offensive minded HCs system and you might hit.

he's going to be the best QB in this draft when it's all said and done. I don't think it will be close either. I say he's the 2nd QB taking. Rosen will go 1st. Not saying he should be he will. I see Rudolph going in the 10-15 range. Teams trading uo kind of like for Watson and mahomes this past draft. Would love to be able to trade down for one of those teams wanting him though.

It's funny i was all in on him before we got Jimmy. (wanted to somehow get Rudolph and James Washington.) Now i'm on in his his teammate James Washington.

Lauletta screams Patriots. This guy going to Arizona imo
I really like Rudolph. I think he'll have some success and turn out to be a steal for some one.

He seems to be the forgotten QB in this top-heavy draft class, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go off the board in the 15-20 range. He looks like a solid trade up candidate for the someone like the Pats or a team at the top of the 2nd that passed on a QB in the 1st.

He's one of the many guys I like over Josh Allen.
Cosell on Rudolph.

McShay has him picked for the patriots with their 2nd first when he was acting like what he'd do with the picks type of scenario. Thought it was funny cause I think that's a great fit.
