reaser an acker. they are instilling false hope for our backfield in misguided fans on this forum. and if ward is so good he wont have an issue earning a spot over these rookies they were all taken late.

We're going to be playing in nickel/dime the majority of snaps next year. Jimmy Ward is moving to safety. All those players are young and promising, but you don't scratch the position off your draft board because you have a few nice pieces.
so your on the coaching staff? can you tell us if were keeping kap or not. cause only a coach would know if a player is moving to safety and what packages wel be playing

Baalke has said he's moving to safety. He has also said Blair was to play in the 4 man front, he has also said, in regards to Tank, while he will not play in base, Niners play in sub packages from 60 to 70% of snaps. O'Neil runs a man heavy scheme which all the new draft picks fit.
It also stands to reason to anyone with a brain that the drafting of more CB's and a 4-3 type player seems to indicate an emphasis on the packages that would feature them.
Any more pithy remarks "YOUR" planning on making?

Why Davis? he barely had any opportunities behind a shotty Oline. Give the kid a chance

You need to keep up, Ward toward the end of the season played better and this despite a lack of pass rush, according to outside analyst. Plus the plan is to move him to play more safety this year while one of the rookies will get looks at the slot position.
Plus with history, 49ers DB normally bear fruit in the third season, so we will see about Acker and Reaser.

If the rookies are healed and show they belong and do SS teams, then you will have my sympathy. However, who is to say what happens during preseason.
