"Mock a doodle doo!" It's the Funky Chicken Mock Draft

LOL like the name of the thread HATE (I honestly couldn't think of a worse pick for projected players to us at 7) your first pick that would be considered the worst pick in the 1st round IMO. Dude is years away from being a starter and needs to go to a team that has a vet in place to learn under like Zona or the Saints. Just because we need a QB doesn't mean you overdraft for one. We aren't going to solve every problem year one....we'd be missing out on top tier talent that can start day one if we went Lynch f**k that!

The rest of the draft is okay...I like Ogbah but he's another project and would be switching positions....Boyd and Perkins are underrated and would both contribute day one. Scooby is a just a football player which I like at LB we NEED coverage ability though (possibly have Tarrt in the hybrid role I guess?)

We need impact players now not projects with our early picks.
Not a fan of Lynch in the top 15.
I feel that it is unrealistic that Ogbah and Boyd will be available where you have them. Would be great though.
LOVE the choice of RB in rd 4. Perkins would be great to add in with Hyde and Davis.
The rest looks good, but I doubt Beavers makes it out of day 2.

If only you didn't have that first round pick. I'll cry if we draft any QB not named Goff or Wentz at #7. Would be a horrible horrible mistake.
Should have named this worst case scenario mock

Ditto
With Lynch and Ogbah youre taking some major projects early. I saw an analysis of Ogbah's numbers yesterday that compared him to some pretty big busts, making a strong argument that he doesnt have the requisite quickness.

At the Combine he had a good 40 time but his other numbers werent anything near what you see from most top pass rushers.

Lynch is a project that shouldnt go anywhere near the Top 10. Just because he is the next best QB after Goff and Wentz doesnt make him a good selection at #7. This team has way too many other needs to reach for a guy who isnt expected to be ready to play for a year or two.
If we take Lynch at 7 I will be screaming For Trent's Head
Terrible. Might be the worst mock posted on this forum leading up to the 2016 draft. This draft has the potential to net zero starters.
I'd be pissed even if we traded down to pick #20 and received a bunch of other picks and took Lynch at #20. We need talent and can't take risks. Lynch has bust potential and would easily be the worst pick in the first round at #7. I might be ok with him in the second round.

sorry but drafting paxton lynch at 7 is the dumbest thing baalke could do. he will be availiable in the 20s so why reach over 13 picks when there will be an elite player

I didnt even see a trade i saw lynch at 7
Heh..... Yeah I knew this would be divisive.

I was very close to posting the same draft but with Bosa, Treadwell (lot of talk about him slipping out of the first), and Prescott instead of Lynch, Ogbah, and Boyd. But while I knew that would be more of crowd pleaser I had to go with this one. I just think Lynch is much more likely to be a franchise QB than Prescott, and that's what I think really matters. Everyone thought Flacco was a reach when the ravens took him. And while he's not the best starting QB out there, he's good enough to have stabilized the organization and won a superbowl (tough memory I know).

And I could have played it safe with Stanley, Ogbah and Boyd and then a QB like Hogan or Kessler in the 6th. But that basically means I'm fine with Gabbert as the only real QB option for this team, and I'm just not fine with that.

Also, anyone who has read my posts in other threads knows I have been hammering the need to take a QB early. So I'm putting my money (or zone cred, really...) where my mouth is.

So yeah, I knew this wouldn't be popular and that's fine. I think many of you will be surprised how high Lynch gets drafted. Whether or not he surprises you and becomes a stud QB..... Well we'll just have to wait and see.

Either way, happy draft day to all you other sick obsessive fans out there. May we all come away winners
I'm not a fan of Lynch, the rest works for me though.
More like Mock a doodle POO!

Or mock doodle BOO!

If we draft Lynch at 7, go ahead and tell the Mods to ban me ahead of time.
