Wentz or Goff?

Wentz or Goff?

Hue probably takes Wentz at #2, the 2 obstacles preventing Goff making it to #7 are the Cowboys taking him at #4 or a team trading up past Niners to #6 (Rams being most likely). Either of these could happen, though I think the Cowboys aim for Cook in the top of 2nd and take Bosa at #4. As far as the Rams, they would have to surrender both of their 2nd RD picks to move up to #6 or they could take Lynch at #15 (he might even slide to 2nd RD). I lean to Wentz, but don't feel he's in play for Niners at #7. If both QBs go before #7, increases chances of Buckner falling to Niners.

Assuming Baalke actually drafts Goff LOL. I'd be ecstatic if we drafted either Goff or Wentz.

And yet so many teams thought so highely of him that they passed up on him including Jon Gruden and the Bucs.

He was a good prospect but far from the obvious stud that you seem to be implying he was. Realistically nobody knows just how good Goff can be.
I like Goff and I know more about him. I am a Cal grad but not a total homer.

I'd take either.

It's highly possible that neither will be there.

Matt Barrows thinks they might go defense at #7 and take a QB in round 2. Highly possible.
defense this year offense next year.(we will be picking again in the top ten next year anyway)
Kaepernick because Baalke is an idiot

been drafting defense for years, next year offense never gets here.
NFL Media draft analyst Mike Mayock said that he's "more convinced than ever" that North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz is the best quarterback in the 2016 draft pool.

Mayock made his proclamation based on Wentz's Pro Day on Thursday. By all accounts, it was a fireworks show in which he completed 63-of-65 passes. "I've watched every game that he was in this year, and I'm more convinced than ever that he's the top quarterback in this draft," Mayock said on NFL Network. He has received unanimous praise in the early going for his Pro Day work (which he completed in Fargo with 14 NFL teams absent due to a snowstorm). NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt referred to it as "one of the best [P]ro [D]ays I've ever witnessed" while colleague Daniel Jeremiah called Wentz's outing "an A if not an A-plus." The 6-foot-5, 237-pounder has aced all of his pre-draft work to this point and figures to be the first or second quarterback drafted barring some sort of wacky unforeseen draft day shenanigans.
Assuming Kap is no longer on our roster I'd rather have Wentz and not to belittle Goff cuz I'd love to have either one, I just prefer Wentz. I think he's more athletic and fits better with what chip wants out of the QB. To me he seems like a more athletic Ben Roethlisberger. imo just seems like he'd be a pain in the ass for defenders to bring down the way Big Ben is. Also seems to scan the whole field before deciding to run. I know it's not D-I but the kid is a national champion and he dominated the way you would want him to against lower competition and during the senior bowl he proved (even if it was only a week or so) that he could have played against better competition. But it depends on what happens to kap. If kap is on our team I'd take Jack, Ramsey, Buckner, treadwell, bosa, or Hargraves ahead of either of them and take either cook or Hackenberg later. Obviously if kap is gone tho that changes everything and moves Wentz and goff to the top of our board.
I want any one of the two

no hes not. they both are accurate, both have good release. but wentz is an athlete, goff isnt. check the combine. wentz was top 3 qb in all drills. if its qb in the first wentz has to be the go to choice. and hes twice as durable

the problem is chip needs someone that can take off too. its not a must, just a plus. wentz is athletic goff is not. so why not add the extra dimension. and 63 of 65 passes at pro day is pretty damn accurate

Conor Cook is better than both.

I don't think we'll be choosing between the two of them.

This

If needed would either be worth it to trade up to #6 or #5?
