WRs in the draft

We have 6 WRs on the roster that we have no idea about their capabilities (Patton, Ellington, Smelter, White, Anderson and Rogers) with one proven vet (Smith). I don't think WR is that high on our priority list as much as developing our own which is something that hasn't happened in a VERY LONG time.

I'm thinking more along the lines of taking one in the mid-rounds like Charone Peak from Clemson. 6'2 with speed, ball skills, good hands and a polished route runner.

Sterling Shepard, Malcolm Mitchell, Keyarris Garrett....then with a late pick Jay Lee could be nice

I feel like they go should go WR in the 2nd. I don't want to see another crop of talented young WRs come into the league and we get the scraps because we are holding out for "value."

There are enough guys in the top group of WRs that one of them will be there in the 2nd. I'm hoping for Doctson, but if it ends up being Fuller, Thomas or Boyd I'd still be very excited.

I like Lawler as well, but I feel like he could easily be another Paul Richardson.

They need to come away with a real play maker at WR. A guy that's a size/speed mismatch and will draw enough double teams to free up the rest of the O.

That whole looking for big guys strategy is like banging your head against the wall. Playing right into the hands of the strengths of our division rivals. We play in a division where the average cornerback is 6'1.

FFS, Seattle has like 4 CBs that are 6'3.

I hope chip realizes he has to learn how to use Bruce Ellington or smaller, shiftier WRs if he wants to counter these huge CBs.

I think Docson and Coleman will be the best of the bunch. Coleman reminds me on Antonio Brown. Docson reminds me of old Jordy Nelson. Fuller best NFL comp would be Desean Jackson. I love Braxton Miller but I think he ends up a gadget player on a good team. I'm not a believer on Thomas or Boyd.

Of our existing WR group I'm most excited about 1. Rodgers and 2. Smelter.... I'm over Bruce Ellington and Quinton Patton. However I believe Patton may have some success in a better offense. He at least had a productive career in college.

Andrew White has proven much more then Dres Anderson thus far.

Coleman or Docson in the 2nd would be great value. Sterling Sheppard or Braxton Miller in the 3rd. If we are gonna draft one let's draft one that can beat out one of the late round UDFA guys we already have.

I also agree about WR in the 2nd. I agree that there are a lot of late 1st/early 2nd guys and one of them will fall.

Have you guys seen PFF's latest big board? They've got Coleman at #10, and a whole bunch of receivers in the top 30. It's not a bad class as some have claimed.

That's why Sterling Shepard in the second makes sense. Arguably the best route runner, quick, fast, electric with the ball.

Assuming AD comes back, I think the pick at 7 is Treadwell -- or ideally we move back a few spots and still get Treadwell

don't think Coleman is making it to Rd 2, maybe not Doctson either

and how is DeAndrew White more proven than Dres? They're both unproven, Dres at least had a better college career
