I do expect a big splash in FA this year. Two names that keep coming up are Mack and Wilkerson, I think both will be targeted heavily. If we land Hue, our credibility goes back up immediately. So for this mock I will put down both Mack and Wilkerson being off season acquisitions. I'm also wanting to resign/extend both Boone and Williams to the roster, with the idea the AD comes back ready to go. With those moves in mind, we have a starting OL ready to go. We also add the last missing piece to the DL left vacant by Justin. The only position that still needs addressing is OLB. I do have some players in the mock but a proven vet will be needed once Brooks is released.
Regarding the Cleveland pick and Dallas...
The more I look at who picks before us and the value of each player, I expect Bosa to be the pick. Cleveland has been a disaster at picking QB's for years now. The safe smart pick is with Bosa and I think Mr. Analytics will agree with me. I also expect Johnny Football to land in Dallas. With Jaylon being hurt and Nkemdiche getting popped with drugs, both are now out of the top 10 IMO. I expect Tunsil to go first and Stanley to go prior to our pick. With all four being either drafted or downgraded, Goff is the best value and smartest pick given our current situation.
I do have a few trades included this in mock. Sitting back on late picks would be a waste this year. It's time for Trent to package them together and make some deals. I'm doing this mock at work today so I will not be able to get into great detail about each player. But we do have the annual "hurt" player for Trent lol
1.
Jared Goff*, QB, California
Height: 6-4. Weight: 210.

Obvious pick and talent. SITS on the bench for 1-2 years learning the pro system and allowing the team to get better.
2.
Will Fuller*, WR, Notre Dame
Height: 6-0. Weight: 184.

Deep threat that can score almost anywhere on the field. Intelligent kid that should start very quickly. Puts Patton and Ellington on notice. Might be hard to get him here.
3.
Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Temple
Height: 6-1. Weight: 230.

Hard nosed thumper, the kid played very well this year. Needs to learn patience but his arrow is pointing up. Insurance for Hodges and Bowman but more importantly makes Wilhoite very expendable.
3. (Traded 4th and 5th)
Kyle Murphy, OT, Stanford
Height: 6-7. Weight: 298.

Remember Pears? Goodbye Pears! Sits for a year and gets stronger. Offers better insurance in the event AD goes down again.
4. (Traded 5, 6th, and 6th)
Eric Murray, CB, Minnesota
Height: 6-0. Weight: 194.

Nothing sexy about Murray but he can do everything and play in different coverage's. Not afraid to hit and adds another tool in the backfield. Brock isn't lighting the world on fire and the competition at CB will get better next year.
4. Comp
Anthony Zettel, 3-4DE, Penn State
Height: 6-4. Weight: 284.

Tenacious player that needs time to develop his skill set. Wont start but should be a strong rotational player, will compete with TJE for a spot. He looks like Cowboy so...who knows lol
5.
Yannick Ngakoue, 3-4OLB, Maryland
Height: 6-2. Weight: 255.

Pass rushing terror that is the prototypical tweener. Will need to brush up on his pass rushing skills but he put up respectable numbers this year, 13.5 sacks.
6. Comp
Jimmy Bean, 3-4OLB, Oklahoma State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 250.

Major upside across the board but tore his ACL.
6. Comp
D.J. Reader, NT, Clemson
Height 6-3. Weight 325.
Needed personal time away from football so there are some red flags. Depending on how he plays against Bama, his stock could raise quickly. With Williams holding down the position for a while, Reader wont be rushed to play. Would be a good pupil for Tomsula but that ship has sailed. If his heart and head are in it, he could develop into toilet clogger we've always wanted.
