If we're taking a receiver at #7, he needs to be a STUD. He needs to have a combination of Size, Speed, Strength, Route Running/Ability to create space, and "Hands". I haven't seen anybody saying that has many/most of these traits. I hear "Jump ball" receiver and "reminds me of Alshon Jeffrey" - Good, but hardly worth the #7 overall pick.

BPA or trade down.

If he runs well at the combine he will be a lock for a top 10 pick.
With Kelly on board, Laquan's chance on becoming a 49er just shot up from 20% to 70% especially if Kelly gets his wishes of signing veteran OLs rather than drafting them young ones with no guarantee becoming a steady player.

No doubt I believe we're signing OL I think its down to Laquan or LB Jack

I can live with either of those picks.

Red zone threat, great hands and an excellent blocker
Mock drafts not withstanding, where are most of the insiders placing him as far as rank? I know he is right now rated as the #1 receiver, but overall where is he?

Also, what teams after us have wr as a number need in the first round?

Trade down (but not to far) and get an extra pick, use that to move up to the first from the second or from the 3rd to the second.

If they do take him, maybe get his QB too for the future?

Rotoworld has him ranked out as the 4th overall prospect

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/132057/laquon-treadwell

Rotoworld's Josh Norris ranks Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell as the No. 4 overall draft prospect.

"Treadwell displayed his physical dominance in college both before and after the catch. Treadwell fits the No. 1 receiver template at 6'2/210 lbs," Norris wrote. "His game did not slow down in 2015 after returning from a horrific leg injury. Treadwell can win at every level of the field with position and agility for someone of his size. He is used to catching erratic targets away from his body." The 6-foot-2, 229-pound Treadwell (82 receptions for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns this past year) is Norris' No. 2 WR, ranked slightly behind Corey Coleman

He kind of reminds me of Dez Bryant

Most have him as the #1 WR and going anywhere between #7-#13 in the first round.

If this kid shows up and performs well during the off season workouts, he's a lock to be a top 10 pick.
Treadwell, Smelter, T. Smith, A. Jeffrey. Theres our O for next year.

No way we draft Treadwell AND sign Jeffrey with Torrey Smith's contract on the books

JEFFREY AND MYLES JACK PLEASE!!!!!!!
id rather grab michael thomas out of ohio state. Has more potential and his explosiveness would work good with kelly's offense

They're paying Boldin $7 mil per at the moment. Don't think Jeffrey would cost too much more than that. Treadwell at #7 would cost $4 million per with about $10 mil bonus up front, but they will be paying that to someone in any case, unless they trade back in the draft. I don't think it's a financial question, more a case of whether the Bears franchise Jeffrey or not, and of course whether they have a shot at Treadwell, or deem another position more critical. But he's good value at #7, a good position fit for their top pick, and doesn't seem to come with any serious flaws in his makeup. The reason top drafted receivers flop is off field issues about 80% of the time, not a lack of talent. Treadwell has the talent (top rated WR coming out of HS) and hasn't shown an inclination to screw up off the field.
