This. I doubt they take an NT early. I see DE as far more likely. Between Purcells, Williams, Dorsey and a later draft pick, they will be alright.

Being from Waco Tx, I have watched him since he played for Waco high. He broke Mark Henrys Texas high school power lifting records. Best player to ever play at Baylor since Singletary.

But would you draft a NT over a QB?
I have Billings rated higher then Buckner.. let say..

First Round:

15 - Billings

19 - Buckner
I wouldn't mind Goff at #7 but I would like Billings. You say two down pluger, I say 4 down collapser, dude did 31 reps at the age of 19 He hasn't even grown into his strength yet.

Not saying this is a need but talking about premier prospects like Ramsey, Tunsil, Jack. I feel Billings is in that category

I would in this years draft. In my opinion the quarterbacks in this years draft are average. I would draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th and see what Gabert has in this system. Strengthen the trenches.

Billings was doubled 90% of the time at Baylor since he started while Shawn Oakman was busy showing his abs. Andrew Billings made Shawn Oakman.

Well I disagree with that and I like billings you dont spend a top 10 pick on a 2 down player, you just don't.

He can slide over and play a 34 DE and slide inside on 3rd down.

No way man he's a big strong NT. He's not a 3-4 DE. If we are going DE at 7 it better be Buckner...I know you a lillte bias being a Baylor fan

Give me a QB or stud 3-4 DE over him anyday...and I'm a billings fan, he's just not gonna play enough to warrent a top 7 pick maybe in a draft down? Or a trade back up?

As is usually the case, youre the only one.

I could see him being able to play DE. I don't think he'd have the agility you'd want to rush the passer but if he can bullrush Id he could play anywhere lined up inside

6"1' is too short to play DE in a 3-4. I really like that size to play NT because his lower center of gravity allows him to anchor the middle of the line and get up under those interior linemen, but you want someone 6' 3" with long arms or taller at the end spots.

I'd take Buckner over Billings based on need but based on skill set and potential Id say they are close. Billings has a higher floor

Good points, I agree his body frame is not ideal at DE but he might be so strong he still would be disruptive.
