Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - Legit alternative to Jared Goff in 2017?

From the other charts posted, our 2nd and 3rd would net the 18th overall and a 6th. Too low for a top tier QB, but we could get the guy we want at QB (at 2 overall) and a legit pass rusher.

This draft is chalk full of pass rushers...Myles is on another level though. I don't see a pass rusher worth giving up a 2nd and 3rd for.

Do it the other way around, take Garrett then trade back in the 1st for a QB, a couple should be available depending on who you like..Kaaya, Falk, Mahomes are some that could be late 1st round picks..i like Mahomes out of the 3 for Kellys Scheme..

I'm so torn on Jimmy G. I would love to trade for him but Trubisky and Watson are tough to pass up for me. A big reason I want want Garoppolo is because it would be a signal to free agents that they're making the right moves to get better. It would be easier for a WR to sign on with a QB like Jimmy over signing with no QB on the roster.

You just have to decide on if Garoppolo is better long-term than a guy like Trubisky or Watson.

If you can get Garoppolo for a 3rd and maybe another mid round pick in 2018 -- it's too good to pass up -- considering you could still use your first two picks on a pro bowl defender and an offensive playmaker.

I agree on Kaaya, I've watched Mahomes and I like his game a lot..he has a strong arm, accurate, nice touch on the ball when needed and has that Russell Wilson type of scrambling ability while still looking down field..obviously he will need work but i like his skills..

I'm all for Jimmy G just don't know if I would pay what they will be asking for..I'm sure they want more then the 2nd they used on him..And the 3 you mentioned I think they are all gone in the top 15 picks..so say Garrett 1st and either trade for Jimmy G or take Mahomes and I'm a happy man so far lol

dats the life. I also think it's realistic. If the Pats want more than that -- somebody else can have him.

Also, if you can get Jeffery and a solid DT in free agency I think this team can be very competitive given another year of seasoning for the youngins.

The fact that all mighty Brady looks like he's going to dominate abd play 10 more years makes it very realistic..

I'm not so sure what they are willing to take...they just moved on from a pro bowl LB for a low 3rd and Jimmy G isn't gonna be cheap when it's time to get a contract if he stays there...the fact that they drafted another qb in the 3rd leads me to believe there might be a plan to move on at some point.

Oh yeah i definitely agree, i think this offseason Jimmy G is traded bc the pats will realize his price will be at his highest..I believe he still has 2 years left on his rookie contract which teams will love..

He has 1 year left after this season is over. He'd be a free agent in 2018. So pretty much whoever trades for him is going to have to give him a hefty extension and that is the biggest limiting factor on what the Patriots would get back in return.
