Yeah, we can stop thinking about picking in the top 5, now.

I can't stand wins like this. people are saying I want to watch my team win.. You do realize, it won't benefit them for anything past this year which is already a lost cause. The more losses the more likely we will make changes this offseason. (Staff) and the more likely we get impact players from the draft. dropped probably 5 spots for every round, most importantly the first round which is huge in top 4 5 picks , compared to next 5 picks

So, the thing is Patrick Willis was drafted #11.

We had the #15 pick last year with EIGHT wins. We'll be just fine.

There goes our draft position. Useless wins at the end of the year on an already ruined season.

Not likely. Cleveland is awful and the Rams are pretty bad too. Lions aren't a great team by any stretch either. 6-7 wins this year gets you to like Pick 15 or 16.

Yeah, trying to be optimistic.

God damn it. Each win now is like losing a 2nd round pick (probably worse based on the pick value of moving back 5 spots in every round.

But at least we're developing an imaginary winning culture.

If they came out and totally kicked the crap out of the Bears, I'd be pretty damn happy.


But nothing about this victory was transferable or gives any real optimism for the future. The special teams blew it, the Bears had a huge return, the defense blew it, the Bears got a huge 1st down, and then they missed an easy FG that you make 9 out of every 10 times. Half the team looked listless, Staley looked like he was asleep, this was a victory in the most empty sense possible, one that may save a mediocre coaching staff for yet another season.

Bye bye Nkemdiche, Bosa, Tunsil, Stanley and probably Smith. Thinking we'll be picking right around 15 again so we can kiss off any instant impact players and saddle up for another project.

Yeah, still have Browns and Rams left.

... STL needs to pull wins out of there ass. I think we very well could still end up with a top 10 pick. I wouldn't of been mad losing a close, well fought game today. But, I am not mad. I think Jaylon Smith would've been an absolute game changer, but hey, if we have a 10,11,12 pick, and we select Ogbah, I think the 49ers pass rush gets back to greatness. Ogbah is a animal.
