I honestly do not think we do as I don't see Ozzie passing on him unless a trade offer came Ozzie's way. I think Ozzie is hoping Tunsil falls to 6, he would love to scoop up arguably the top rated prospect in this class at 6.

PFF has us drafting him somehow.

Problem is.....I think it's nearly impossible for Trent to stand pat. Totally agree with what you are saying. All Baalke needs to do is be patient and let the draft come to him. IMHO, there are 7 blue chippers in this draft and we are guaranteed to get one of them. Goff, Wentz, Tunsil, Ramsey, Buckner, Jack or Bosa will be ours. Virtually impossible to screw this up.

But at the end of the day, my prediction? We won't end up with any of these guys because Baalke will be Baalke. Hey if he trades back a few and we end up with Conklin, Stanley, Lawson and more picks, I can live with that, but I'd rather him land one of the blue chippers this year.

Agreed, we're talking about the consensus #1 pick until the QB-moves. But man, it's possible indeed.

Yeah, my original mock has Stanley at 7, a trade at 60/40 chance and if either Buckner or Tunsil are there are 7, you take it and run!
Would Staley be ok with the move to RT??

He's not moving anytime soon.
I'm all about him at 7.

If he falls to us at 7, we need to pull the trigger.

I would move up for him at 5 if he got past the Chargers. True franchise caliber left tackle. Put him at right tackle with Staley at left, add Garnett in the 2nd, suddenly the OL is looking far improved.

Agree

Having an opportunity to get a franchise caliber LT doesn't happen often.

Staley's eventual replacement and the immediate starter at RT.

Add to that we can develop Trent Brown to be the RT of the future when Tunsil moves to LT.

solid plan!

I bet if we do this, AD will request a trade and we can get rid of that SOB

That would be icing on the cake!

You don't ask him to...you plug Tunsil at RT day one and move him to the left side when Staley walks away.

My thoughts as well..

This.
Landing Tunsil is a pipe dream, IMHO. It's possible he could fall, but if I'm the Chargers, I jump all over him. Rivers has been running for his life the past few seasons and would appreciate having him protect his blind side. As for Stanley, I don't see taking him over Buckner. Joe Staley's spoken several times that Brown has all the tools to become a terrific RT. Because of the uncertainty with both Dorsey and Williams, I see O'Neil sliding Dial to NT until either/both guys are ready to play. Landing the best DL in this draft provides the biggest bang, for many reasons.

Reports of Bosa falling out of the Top 10 now

Tunsil won't make it pass Jacksonville. They need to protect their future!!!

If anyone is falling I'd put my money on Jalen Ramsey.
