That is what I remember someone saying too. Why I think any top QB should come out as soon as they can at least to rip a team off. How many QBs missed their hype train: Falk; Cardale Jones; Matt Barkley; Sam Darnold?

Except the fact Tom brady had to split time with drew Henson his senior year correct?

I'm not calling anyone out, I just want to know if this guy still thinks he is still worth drafting that high. I need to watch him more but I get the same uneasy feeling watching him and Rudolph (throw to a predetermined spot too much... like screens and swing passes, etc).

Not sure if I'm who you're referring to...

But I was/am a Falk fan. I like him more than Darnold and as much as Rosen but would take Falk over Rosen. (Rudolph my favorite QB however)

He's getting benched for not taking shots. Constantly checking down after all the hits he's taking.

That is an NFL QB. Not just forcing balls (Rosen/Darnold).

He still has great accuracy/ball placement.

He WILL get a shot and WILL prevail in the pros. Don't have to be a #1 pick to succeed.

Cool. Maybe it was. Good information. I'll have to watch more games because from other talking heads it doesn't sound good. Cool to see you are sticking to your guns.

In fairness I didn't watch the last couple games (east coast) I have watched my fair share this season just to watch him.

"I wanted Falk to see the field," Leach said, per The Spokesman-Review, "because we weren't pushing the ball down the field. And then Hilinski was hot, so we stayed with Hilinski. I think Hilinski does a good job of bouncing around, pushing the ball downfield, but he gets reckless. Falk tries to way over-analyze everything to the point where that can be counterproductive," Leach said, "so if I could slice the two of them in half and mold them into one guy, we'd probably have been in a pretty good situation today. At least on offense."

Edit: and that is an NFL QB. IMO. which is why I say him being from a "air raid" system is different than others

That is what I was negatively grading him for when I watched the CU game (though I stopped watching towards the end because CU was getting blown out). It seemed like he was too eager to throw it short and check down. That won't work too often in the NFL. I need more time to develop a real opinion though.

That's the thing though. When he has it going and not getting hit he throws it downfield.

Versus Washington last year. 3 DBs drafted 1st 3 rounds

2 bad throws both off his back foot if I remember correctly. Though the 1 int was a nice play

Oh and leach only calls pass plays. Luke checksvat the line and makes all the run play calls

I saw some really great throws in that video but several times where he held on to the ball too long and he didn't seem to go through his progressions quickly... though does the Leach system have multiple reads? It is hard to judge him against a superior team playing at their peak then but it looked like he was watching too long waiting for players to get open instead of anticipating. I'm struggling what player to compare him too. He is still on my big board but above rudolph and below Rosen, Darnold and Allen right now.

Lol you have Darnold and allen above Rudolph?

Rosen, you can Atleast make an argument. Allen and Darnold shouldn't even be mentioned with Rudolph or Rosen for that matter.

I'm not going to defend myself too much because this is only off watching an average of 2 games each for these QBs during the 2017 cycle. I just don't like Rudolph at all right now. I don't think he can make every throw needed of a pro. Allen and Darnold can make every throw but not sure about vision and play diagnosis. Rosen is so up and down that i'm just giving him the benefit of how good his highs look.
While Falk, Allen, Darnold and others have had up & down seasons, Lamar Jackson has emerged as the most consistent playmaker. Yeah, he runs way more than any NFL team would likely allow, but he's improved his passing quite a bit. From what I understand, Lynch/Shanahan aren't all that impressed with any of the top-rated QB's in this year's class. Am sure they'll groom Beathard to become JG's b/u...beyond that, I don't know if they'll draft a QB in later rds or just sign a vet. Getting JG now can result in getting a top WR, OL or Barkley to improve Jimmy's weapons. Nice problem to have...
I'm a Falk fan, but only if we take him in rounds 3 +
I also like the guy when we were checking out all the available QBs in the upcoming draft and if we can't get one of the top guys in the draft or Cousins. Now that we got Jimmy G, it doesn't matter. But if he gets to a team where he can sit and learn, I think he can be a solid player.
