How is it a pure invention?

There have been 2 latest reports, one is the above from Greg Gabriel and the other Brad Briggs from the Chicago Tribune, both came out after Monday night and both claimed to have heard things on Monday night.

So, that is not possible? NFL execs arrive in Philly, on the first night they mingle and exchange notes so to speak and hear things. Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Besides, how does Trubisky apply? Both Gabriel and Briggs are specifically naming Leonard Fournette to the 9ers. It has zero to do with Trubisky.

Unless, that is you know something that we don't. Do you? LOL.

Rascal, Greg Gabriel has only been around the NFL since 1981. He's not the one that has to invent things.

For your information, I am Kyle Shanahan's agent too if you remember the battles I had with the McDaniels homers.

Exactly. Very good point!!
I'm not sure why some of you would be happy with this pick. To me, this would make no sense. For one, Shanahan's system is known for taking later round backs and turning them into stars. This is a deep RB class, so I'm not sure taking a RB 2nd Overall is worth it. Plus, I wouldn't expect him to come into SF and produce like Elliot. Our OL is nowhere near ready to put in a star RB and open huge lanes for him. I think this would be a wasted pick. Literally, we could take any of the other top 10 prospects and I'd be happier.

This lousy argument has been stated numerous times by diff posters. That simply seem, they just hate on Fournette....

point well missed. The quote leaps from "49ers are going to do something surprising" to "drafting Fournette". My point was, that surprising thing could be the drafting of almost anyone and Trubisky would qualify.

The front office has been totally tight on this. These guys heard somebody say something. Doesnt mean the rumour has any value at all.

Except nobody is hating on Fournette and it's not a lousy argument.

Outside of that you're 100% correct.

I have posted this argument myself. It has value. It is nothing whatsoever to do with hate for Fournette. Lets try to keep the discussion at a reasonable level.
