2016 49ers Draft Needs - What Will Be Our #1 Need?

But just talking in generalities, they 49ers lack playmakers.

Jaylon Smith at ILB, add some serious speed to the defense and a LB that can drop back in coverage.

Robert Nkemdiche at DE.

Ronnie Stanley at OT.

Vernon Hargreaves at CB.

All guys that would be potential impact players from Day 1.

Need to add QB to the list.

49ers are not in position to draft a QB early and I don't believe a 4th+ round QB will replace Kaep, or even Gabbert for that matter.

At the rate we are going we are gonna be drafting 1:1 especially with our schedule. Hang on tight

QB in the 1st round, that's all there is to it.
We need talent, period. You have to go with talented players who can step in and make a major impact.

Why is QB not on the list yet?

Well, maybe because a new QB will get equally destroyed behind team matador.

I'm sure they could get OL in other rounds of the draft.

And your point is? Only first round OL are good? Lol.
I say we grab the top LT in the Draft. You can have him play RT for the first year or two. Or if he proves to be good enough move Staley to RT and him play LT sooner rather than later. When Kilgore comes back Martin and Thomas could be good G's as they continue to learn and grow.

Point is, drafting a QB with the knowledge that your line couldn't block three tired Girl Scouts seems a bit like buying a Ferrari while living on unpaved streets.

Its not about a position, if they draft early, they need an impact player. I don't care much if its OT, ILB, OLB...etc.

My choice would be Jaylon Smith, I think you can plug him in at ILB from the very first day and have him wrecking people out there. He could stay in on 3rd downs and you could line him up all over the field and have him make an impact.
