This. Small school guy who dominated with superior athleticism. Bring him in, give him a chance to compete but I'm not holding my breath or anything.

I read the assesment and these things are ALL fixable,H e has a solid foundation to work with,He plays faster then His combine numbers, just the opposite of some wrs who combine numbers were faster then they Played,Which would you have ?Combine Numbers or Playing Field Numbers? Jerry Rice combine Numbers were not so hot but, when He was on the field No one cuaght Him once He was past them.

He probably does play faster than his timed speed. But he's also being timed at 20 lbs heavier than his playing weight. Dude needs to commit to playing in the NFL and not in competitive eating. I'd love to see him excel here, but if he can't, I think a big part of it will be because he can't get in shape and the coaches gave up. Typically you try to impress possible employers. Showing up heavy to workouts, when you're a speed guy, isn't a good look imo.

This guy looks like the missing link we've had in our offense sense Delanie Walker left - but way faster. If he gets in shape and really has 4.3 speed he could be the "x-factor" in the offense - bubble screens, underneath route match-up nightmare and always a threat to work deeper down the field. I was really impressed with how naturally he catches the ball despite it's location - low, high, in stride, behind him, - he made it all look easy.

From the film, this could be a real sleeper pick. Wonder if he can return kicks??
i don't want Davis to lose too much weight....some of that seems to help him break tackles. Unless yall are telling me he shows up to things at 240 or something.

also either he really is that fast or these lower division schools have the slowest brothas in the nation.

I've seen him listed at 210 at his playing weight. Which is a good size and would keep him at his speed. But him showing up to his pro day near 230 isn't a good weight for a 5'11 WR known for speed. It's why he only ran a 4.64 at that weight. At that weight he still had a 37 1/2 inch vert, but imagine if he weighted less what it'd be. From Gil Brandt:
One other player of note was wide receiverDarius Davis of Henderson State. Davis showed up way too heavy, measuring at 5-foot-11, 226 pounds. He ran the 40 in 4.64 seconds, including a 1.67 10-yard split. He also had a 37 1/2-inch vertical, a 9-9 broad jump, a 4.40 short shuttle, a 7.28 3-cone drill, and 17 strength lifts. He needs to get in shape and cut down about 15 pounds so he can run better and give teams a better idea of what he can do.

The way He runs is Silky smooth getting to the corners and He just runs by these guys and some of those guys had good angles,He just outran them,I`m pulling for him to show out in camp and pre-season games, that way it will show He is not a fluke and can play against any level of talent,my thinking is He makes the 53 man team,,This why Goodell needs to increase the roster size to 56 there`s too much talent out there to cut guys,

No He`s really that fast, and does run through tackles and they have angles on Him and he just runs past them, hey there have been some gems from the little schools He`s one,if they place Him on the practice-squad someone will get wind and snatch Him just like they did with the CB Cooper and some others we tried to Hide.
he's a play maker. the guy has great visions and body control. i wouldn't be surprised to see part of a 53 man roster, either here or somewhere else.

this guy was willing to give up a 2nd rounder for him.

What's up Gang... I get access to All-22 and came across Davis last summer while working on Kevin Rodgers eval and he is a true diamond in the rough. The last 2 seasons they've had some talent, but Davis kept popping up. His game stood out more than other prospects like Keaton Stigger, Rodgers, etc. I think you guys have a steal IF he gets the opportunity to showcase.

Good to see others see what I see on the field this guy is a true Gem for us,and I believe Once Henry and Curry get this Guy in practice and Pre-season Games so He can showcase His talent I think they will be pushing to Keep Him and let Him have some spot play here and there.
I hope he can show his flash in practice and pre-season. This guy is exciting to watch...dang...

I like him, Anderson and white. All 3 seem to good but Davis & Anderson especially.
