Ok after further analysis of the remaining player group I think there are a handful of players we should target aggressively. The first is Jalen Strong. He has size and speed similar to Kevin White. I also really like Collins at Safety from Ala. If we can snag both of these guys by trading back up into the 2nd round that could be amazing. With Jimmy Ward coming off of surgery I think Collins is a smart move. Plus he adds young depth to our secondary. He appears to be versatile enough to move around the secondary and fill holes. Both Collins and Strong also add a ton of speed to the roster. I would also love to see the Niners address the OL situation. Jake Fisher is an OL freak. He posted the best 40, vertical, 3 cone drill, and 20 yd shuttle of any lineman in the draft. So with these three targets and potentially an additional 2nd round pick I recommend we do this:
1st we make a trade to grab an additional 2nd round pick. We bundle a 4th round pick with another pick and grab another teams 2nd round pick.
With our first pick in the 2nd round we grab Collins at Safety to bolster the secondary.
With our second pick in the 2nd round we target Jake Fisher to fill the hole left by Iupati.
I know, I know no WR you say... I am predicting that Dorial will continue to fall into the third or even 4th round.
So with our third or 4th round comp pick we grab a WR like Dorial.

Alex Boone's future seems to be shakey, and we lost Iupati, and Jake can play inside as well and prevent Kap from getting killed with pressure up the middle.
I think we kick him inside until he grows and gets some pro experience. His skill set seems perfect for a guard. He could pull around the line and run traps like a champ.

package our 4ths for a 2nd and a 6th. Pickup DGB and Perryman in the 2nd.

don't really need CB til later in the draft. OL, TE, ILB, WR is where we should focus early.

I really think he's the pick in round 2(Devin Smitj). After that I just see a lot of trades from Baalke

I tend to disagree, CB, ILB is our biggest need. The ILB prospects are sub par and can be had in rounds 5-7. Plus we already signed Wheeler to help the LB core. He is hugely underrated IMO. So that brings us back to CB. With the best CB prospects already off the board we should grab the next best secondary guy available. Collins fits our need perfectly. He also ran the top 40yd dash time at the combine. He has a huge amount of experience, and is super productive. He also played three positions in the secondary for Ala. Both safety spots and the dime/nickle spot. He's a beast against the run and is a tank like Chancelor. I would love to see the Niners running more nickle sets this year and walking this guy up into the box to stop the run.

Why would they take yet another safety when they have Reid, Bethea and Ward.

The only correct answer here guys is Collins and Fisher.
DGB, Perryman, etc.. can all be had later.

Wheeler is garbage, we still need an ILB. We still have corners who "redshirted" last season, so we can take some late rounders at that position. OL, WR, ILB maybe TE in the 2nd and third rounds.

I could definitely live with either one in the 2nd round. But I think ILB, CB, DT/NT are actually more important. Perhaps even OG also. But I would not be really disappointed if we picked either one of those specific WR's. It would just leave some unfilled holes of top players at perhaps bigger need positions.
Let's state it as follows:
IF Carl Davis or Goldman are available about 10 picks before our pick, i would jump for one of them. We could anchor the d-line for years with premier talent. That would be amazing.
Last year's offense still gives me hives. And the offense lost Gore, Crabtree, Iupati, S. Johnson and B. Lloyd..

Anyone else feel like our offense will be better without these guys? And our "great" OC?

Top positional targets the 49ers may consider in rounds 2-3 today:
OL - Donovan Smith, AJ Cann, Marpet, J.Miller, Tre Jackson
DL - Goldman, Davis, Cooper, Edwards, Anderson (don't know if we'd double-up, but these are the BPAs)
WR - DGB, Devin Smith, Funchess, Coates, Tyler Lockett, Jaelen Strong (if he falls)
RB - Yeldon, Duke Johnson, Ajayi, Javorius Allen, Langford, Abdullah, Coleman, David Johnson
OLB - Preston Smith, Flowers, D.Hunter, Harold, Odighizuwa, Mauldin, Orchard (although I'm not sure many teams like him at OLB)
ILB - Kendricks, Perryman, Dawson
CB - Rowe, Darby, P.J. Williams, Jalen Collins, Rollins, D'Joun Smith, Alex Carter, Josh Shaw, Doran Grant
TE - Maxx Williams, Walford
