2015 NFL Entry Draft Thread - Do NOT post the Pick before it's Announced

I think this draft a decision was made to draft on potential, and not on college production. Instead of going for blue chippers, apparently Tomosulu, new coaches and Baalke feel like they can coach up these players to be great pro's.

That being said I hated it when they drafted bruce miller a DE and said he would be a FB, and it worked, so I am wrong all the time.

I am just so frustrated because all of my players all got picked one or two slots in front of the niners picks.....
I'm with you Bro. My fear is that we stay too cute with this "potential" strategy and it starts to bite us in the ass. There are a lot of coaches and GM's who get fired due to potential not coming around. And I'm starting to think that Trent is almost avoiding the real blue-chippers for save on future cap $. I hope I'm wrong though.

Well Baalke is stocking up picks again for next year already

With the expected comp picks, that makes at least 6 extra day 3 picks for 2016.

yep looking like 10 or 11 picks with the comps next year. Having those extra picks gives you so much flexibility to move up or down when you want to.

#49ers new OT Trenton Brown is Matt Millers 23rd ranked offensive tackle.

Baalke will do some amazing stuff, and I'm not saying he's a bad GM. But he kills me every draft by passing on really good WR prospects at EVERY PHASE of the draft. He just out thinks himself and gets too cute. It just kills me watching our inability to run a passing game bite us year after year, and then watch us pass on quality WRs draft after draft....

He don't draft WR's...he buys them! Much higher success rate!

#TraderTrent - #49ers pick up a 2016 sixth-round pick by sending the 246th overall pick this year to Dallas.
sure that this is true? according to nfl.com, WE picked another TE with this pick.

Florida OL Trenton Brown had the second highest run block grade among RGs in the SEC last season. #49ers

Great pick!

Dude is Hah-yoooooooge, though. Worries me that the ZBS switch isn't happening. He's supposedly pretty nimble for his size, but what does nimble look like at 350#, lol?
6'8 355....moving to OG?

We currently have solid starters in Boldin and T. Smith. Both Ellington and Patton had productive college careers and one of them should step up this year, with more likelihood than some of the WRs in this draft from the 3rd round onward. The Jerome Simpson signing is a wild card, but no denying his talent and Baalke added a 2015 roster stasher that people have called one of the steals of the draft.

In short, we're all good at the WR spot for the time being.

who knows. Perhaps we convert him to a 2-gap-NT.
