On Silberman, in case you folks didn't know, he shut out USC DE Leonard Williams this year. Williams didn't have a single tackle for loss or sack in that game.

That's pretty impressive. Thanks for that.
Brandon Thomas stoned clowney last year

It's a Baalke trend. Find a player that beat a star and try to maximize those traits and help the player be consistent so they can be a starter.

anyone who could explain me the punter-pick save for cap savings due a possible cut of Andy Lee?

I think the saving would be 1.75 million if he is cut after may 12, or designated as such? We would then also have 750,000 in dead money next year. I could be really wrong.

Chris
And there goes Waller
Ty Montgomery still on the board?

Everyone drafted with exception of the RB is + 6ft.
Big mofos is the new trend.

If he's not drafted he can sign with any team so he can regain part of his value. If a team drafts him then his value is set. Can any one clear up his eligibility for next year's draft if he goes undrafted? Or if he is drafted but doesn't sign?

If he goes undrafted, he's ineligible to go into next year's draft.

I think Wrath disagreed with this, or someone else...but this is my recollection as well. So his two options are...get drafted and sign or be undrafted and sign with whoever. Does the rookie salary scale cover UDFAs? I'm sure it must. No win situation.
Just need to draft him and try to make it work. Not a big deal if it doesn't.

His only chance to reenter the draft next year and get his big payday is for someone to waste a pick on him. But if nobody wastes a pick on him he has to play this year. So then at least every team would have a chance to sign him as an undrafted free-agent. His agent really shouldn't of said anything about reentering the draft next year.

Thx.

According to overthecap.com, a PRE-June-cut would save us 2 mio. gross and 1.5 mio. net (=new punter will receive the minimum wage) and leave us with 500k in dead money this and next year each. And we save 2.8 mio. next year.

are you really surprised by this fact??? save for CBs, RBs and some WRs, 6.x feet is some kind of minimum height in the NFL.
I think this draft a decision was made to draft on potential, and not on college production. Instead of going for blue chippers, apparently Tomosulu, new coaches and Baalke feel like they can coach up these players to be great pro's.

That being said I hated it when they drafted bruce miller a DE and said he would be a FB, and it worked, so I am wrong all the time.

I am just so frustrated because all of my players all got picked one or two slots in front of the niners picks.....

pointless to discuss it anyway. He won't be drafted. The announcement he made certainly scared the teams off completely.

Not at all! There are different versions of what the rules are so understanding the options is always good.
